With the 2025 awards season now in the rearview mirror, I’m feeling nostalgic. I love everything about awards season, and 2025 definitely delivered. Kieran Culkin swept the supporting actor category, and every time he took the stage, he somehow got bleeped even more than he did the time before. Wicked may not have taken home quite as much gold as the theatre kids hoped, but did get a live performance of “Defying Gravity” that transported the whole Oscars audience to Oz. But even with all these fun live moments during the shows, the best part of all the awards shows happens before the shows even start. I’m talking about the red carpet and all the looks the celebs bestow upon us when they walk it.
This was a big year in Hollywood, with stars like Demi Moore, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and Timothée Chalamet making the rounds at the Oscars, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards… not to mention all the Oscars after parties. All the Hollywood stylists are probably on some very well-deserved vacations after all those events. So now it’s just our time to shine as we judge their work. These are all the best and worst dressed celebrities of the 2025 awards season.
Best And Worst Dressed Celebrities 2025 Awards Season
Best – Mikey Madison At The Oscars
Mikey embodied pure old Hollywood glamour for her big Best Actress win.
Worst – Timothée Chalamet At The SAG Awards
Everyone’s been talking about Timmy’s butter yellow suit from the Oscars, but I’m still preoccupied by this weird leather cowboy look.
Best – Joey King At The Vanity Fair Oscars After Party
The delicate appliqués mixed with the jewels and the ethereal cape are really doing it for me with this chic afterparty outfit.
Worst – Joey King At The Critic’s Choice Awards
This Joey King look… not so much. This looks like the clothes you throw on while you run in and out of the bathroom while you do your hair. Did she forget to put the rest of her clothes on before she went out the door?
Best – Margaret Qualley At The Golden Globes
Margaret Qualley received her first Golden Globe nom for The Substance, and she arrived at the awards show ready for the moment looking like a chiffon dream.
Best – Demi Moore At The Golden Globes
Not to be outdone by her other self (and Substance co-star) Margaret, Demi looked like a gorgeous golden statue herself when she accepted her Golden Globe.
Best – Cynthia Erivo At The Oscars
Nominated for playing Elphaba in Wicked, Cynthia channeled the green girl once again a look so gorgeous I could melt.
Best – Ariana Grande At The Oscars
We’ve got yet another co-star duo shining at an awards show together. This time Ariana embodied Glinda by practically floating in her own bubble of a dress.
Worst – Ariana Grande At The Golden Globes
Unfortunately, not all Ari’s looks can be winners, and the yellow color on this one just washed her out.
Best – Andrew Scott At The SAG Awards
Hot Priest being hot simply works for me.
Worst – Michelle Yeoh At The Critic’s Choice Awards
Michelle Yeoh is one of the most gorgeous humans alive, so it truly pains me to critique this look. But unfortunately this dress kind of looks like a bunch of laundry that got stitched together.
Best – Selena Gomez At The Oscars
Selena had no misses all awards season long, but my favorite look of hers is this jeweled dress that looks classic and modern all at once.
Worst – Elle Fanning At The Golden Globes
What’s with all the yellow washing everyone out? The leopard print is fun, though.
Best – Bowen Yang At The Oscars
We love to see men dress up their suits, and the Wicked star brought so much Ozian flair to the Oscars red carpet.
Worst – Miley Cyrus At the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party
The combo of the no eyebrows and the shapeless black sack make this whole thing a wrecking ball of a look… in a bad way.
Worst – Zoe Saldaña At The Vanity Fair Oscars After Party
I’m sorry, but the skirt looks like the dust ruffle of a bed. Zoe does get puts for the Oscar, which makes a killer accessory.
Worst (And Best?) – Jeremy Strong At The Golden Globes
It was the second most iconic bucket hat in history, the Mia Thermopolis homage heard round the world. Honestly, it’s so bad, it’s good.
