The Alex Cooper and Kim combo is like peanut butter and jelly or jeans and a white tee… it just makes sense. The podcast host and the reality TV icon joined forces for a nearly two-hour-long episode filled with juicy revelations about Kim’s past relationships. The Kardashians star x lawyer x pseudo-actress opened up about her complicated marriage to Kanye West, her relationship with Pete Davidson, and a cringe photoshoot she did with Justin Bieber back in the day. Kim and Kanye were married for six years before calling it quits in 2021.

Kim reflected on missing Kanye’s red flags. “People can say that there was, like, signs and maybe I didn’t wasn’t paying attention to them,” she said. “And I think when someone has, like, their first, like, mental break, you know, you wanna be super supportive and you wanna, like, help figure that out and you wanna really get into that with them and and be there for them.”

Unfortunately, the troubled rapper was not “willing to make changes” that would be healthier. “It makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic,” she explained. “When you have kids, it’s definitely harder to leave than it is to stay. And it changes everyone’s life forever.”

Kim noted that she didn’t feel “safe” — physically, emotionally, or financially. When Kanye was in an “episode,” he’d casually sell five of their new cars. “I’d be like, ‘Oh, wait. Where’s all our cars?'” Kim recalled. “Like, my new car?’ And it would be like, oh, he gave them away to all of his friends.”

At the end of the day, that lack of safety and Kanye’s questionable financial decisions led to the divorce. “I had to save myself in order to be a better mom for everyone,” Kim told Alex. “And I think, like, when everyone’s older, they’ll be able to understand it and see that all.” Still, she doesn’t regret her relationship with Kanye.

“An over a decade relationship with four beautiful children is not a failure,” she declared.

Has Kim Kardashian Hooked Up With Travis Barker?

There’s a popular theory that Kim Kardashian and Travis Barker (Kourtney Kardashian’s husband!) hooked up a long time ago, but Kim set the record straight during the podcast. “No, I never have,” she said about those rumors. “And that really sucks that that has gone on. But he dated Paris [Hilton] and we were all friends, and we’d all hang out and when I was with Paris, we’d be on the road and go to their tour in Amsterdam.”

She emphasized, “So I have been friends with him, but never in that way. And never hooked up with him.”

In Travis’ 2015 memoir, he did admit to crushing on Kim during their early friendship… kind of awk considering he went on to marry her sister.

When Alex asked Kim what she should be “canceled” for, the reality star got visibly nervous. “I don’t know who approved this — or who thought this was normal, this narrative — but I did a photo shoot with Justin Bieber, and he was 16 years old,” she said. (This was a 2010 Elle magazine shoot, and she was 29 at the time. Kim and Justin were photographed holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes… it’s definitely weird.)

“It was like … his girlfriend was there, his parents,” she remembered. “It was nothing creepy at all, but that’s the one thing I feel like — he’s a good dear friend of ours and the whole family, but, like, who thought that that was a good idea?” A great question, TBH.

During the interview, Alex asked about ~the Pete music video~, aka Kanye’s 2022 music video for “Eazy,” which depicted Pete being kidnapped and buried alive. “That made me feel really sad,” Kim shared. “That really wasn’t fair for him. And I felt so sad and sorry for him and he was such a great man [who] was like, ‘I got this, don’t worry, it’s all good.’ Or at least acted that way.”
