You know your show has a lot of clout when every celebrity and their mother wants to be in it. FX’s The Bear pretty much won every award at every award show for season 2, and as a result, the series is perceived as God tier among the Hollywood elites now. So yeah, it’s not surprising that many of them called up their agents to demand a role. I watch this show for Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, of course (if their characters don’t fucking date next season, I’m rioting), but as I binged season 3 in two sittings, I often found myself distracted by a bunch of other famous faces. I’m talkin’ wrestlers, movie stars, and more A-listers. Some major celebs are returning to the show after making previous appearances, and some are brand new to The Bear.
If you’re also struggling to keep track, I see you: Here are all the celeb guest stars and cameos in The Bear season 3.
Warning: There are obviously some season 3 spoilers ahead.
All The Celebrity Guest Stars And Cameos In The Bear Season 3
Jamie Lee Curtis
The icon is back as Donna, Carmy’s psycho mom! She returns to the show in season 3 episode 8 when Natalie goes into labor and reaches out to her out of desperation. (Natalie’s husband, Pete, is on a plane at the time, and The Bear people are busy prepping for dinner — so on-brand.)
John Mulaney
John is also a returning guest star in The Bear season 3 (for like two seconds, but still.) In the first episode of the season, we see a flashback of Carmy living in New York and staying with John’s character, Steve. Steve sweetly puts a blanket over Carmy and not-so-sweetly says he smells like a donkey. Tough love is so important <3.
Will Poulter
As you may recall, Will joined The Bear in season 2 to play the Luca, the pastry chef who helps Marcus make some gorgeous desserts in Copenhagen. You can spot Will in several flashback scenes and also in the season 3 finale. Petition to give this man more lines!
Olivia Colman
No show is truly perfect sans Olivia, so thank goodness the English actress is also back for season 3 of The Bear. This season, her character, Chef Andrea Terry, closes her restaurant, Ever, so that she can have a life outside of work. Love this for her, and I’m really hoping Carmy heard that message loud and clear.
John Cena
My favorite actor-turned-wrestler randomly makes an appearance in this show as another Fak family member, Sammy Fak. His very unserious character helps Carmy and crew refurbish the floors in the fifth episode of the season.
Josh Hartnett
Oppenheimer, who? Josh Hartnett is a star in The Bear these days, appearing in season 3 as Frank, the fiancé of Richie’s ex-wife Tiff. Frank is as awkward and annoying as one could possibly be, and he also happens to be my new favorite character. In episode 4, he apologizes to Richie for not getting his permission before asking Tiff to marry him. A gentleman!
Bradley Cooper
Yes. Bradley Fucking Cooper is technically in The Bear season 3. In the season finale, Carmy and Sydney go to the ~funeral~ for Chef Andrea Terry’s restaurant. There, Carmy notices a bunch of photos honoring all the people who worked there. Among those photos is one of Bradley — as his chef character from the 2015 movie, Burnt. Was this choice purely to distract me? I think so.
