After 27,000 years of waiting, the Wicked trailer has officially dropped!! Yes, you read that right! I formally order you to stop whatever you’re doing right now and obsessively watch it on repeat. I’m actually screaming over here. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were the PERFECT fucking choices for the roles of Galinda and Elphaba, respectively. In the trailer, you can see that Ariana totally transformed into a mini Kristen Chenoweth for this part (voice and accent included, of course) and Cynthia became a gorgeous green goddess with a witchy edge. In the preview clip, we get to hear little snippets of “Popular” and “Defying Gravity,” and I simply don’t know how to process this golden media.

Fortunately, I’m not alone in completely losing my mind over this masterpiece. Obviously, the internet feels the same way as me and stans are taking to Twitter to share their emotional and hilarious Wicked trailer reactions. The people have already crowned Wicked the best movie of 2024 and I have to agree, based on these few dreamy minutes. The first part of the two-movie event won’t be in theaters until Thanksgiving day, but I’d like to buy my tickets immediately. Until then, here are all my favorite Twitter reactions to the Wicked trailer so far. These are responsible for getting me through the next six months of waiting.
