There are several men on Love is Blind season 8 that make my blood boil (looking at you, Dave and Ben), but Madison seems to be getting more hate online than all of them. It’s rather mystifying. She’s been heavily criticized for “trauma dumping” and being toxic, but people are especially focused on making fun of the LIB star’s now-viral art. On the show, Madison claims to be a professional painter, but it’s fairly difficult to find her paintings online. And when people discovered some photos of prints she made, they were not impressed. After days of relentless criticism, accusations, and bullying, Madison finally responded to the “fake artist” allegations with a video statement about her work.

In a February 25 TikTok, Madison responded to all the “fake artist” allegations and the hate she’s received. “I do think that the rhetoric surrounding me as an artist is kind of getting to be a little problematic,” she shared. The LIB star explained that her “mental health and creativity are directly connected,” and she’s been struggling with both this past year and a half.
“I’ve struggled to find my creative spark again,” Madison explained in her video. “Something that started out as a passion of mine suddenly became a burden to me.” Instead of putting so much pressure on herself to produce great art, Madison says she decided to go back to the basics and “learn how to have fun with it again.” As part of that process, she learned to create prints on her iPad.
According to Madison, the artwork that’s going viral for being bad is the art she made to try to discover herself as an artist again. She claims she never even intended to sell those pieces. “I’m also just a commission-based artist,” Madison added. “I don’t necessarily always have artwork up on my website for people to buy.” She noted that she works with clients to create pieces for their homes.
“Art is subjective,” the Love is Blind star concluded. “You don’t have to like my art. You can like my art.” Either way, Madison hopes people will stop making hurtful comments about her and her art.

People were having trouble finding Madison’s art at first, but a TikToker discovered photos of it and shared them in a video that has nearly 800k views now. The comments are, uh, not exactly glowing reviews. “It’s giving cruise ship art auction,” one person wrote. Another asked, “How’s your rent getting paid? It’s not by this.” Even Rolex-obsessed art dealer Leo from season 7 of LIB chimed in: “Ok now this is interesting.”
Sure, Madison probably shouldn’t have called herself as professional painter on the show if she didn’t want so much attention on her art. That being said… leave the girl alone. It seems like she’s already had more than enough trauma in her life.
