Is Hubbs Actually Leaving 'Summer House'?!

Sure, all good things must come to an end, like that last sip of the perfect cup of coffee you made yourself for less than $10. But when it comes to my favorite reality stars staying on my screen, I don’t think the same rule should apply! This is why rumors of Lindsay Hubbard,  AKA Hubbhouse, AKA a woman who deserves a homemade sandwich, could be leaving her throne as the HBIC of Bravo’s seasonal fave, Summer House. Since Lindsay had her baby, Gemma, fans have been curious how being a new mom will work with Lindsay’s Hamptons filming schedule. Granted, most of those fans were a lot more chill about the fact that a woman should never have to be pushed out of her job solely because she bore children, unlike a wannabe jazz singer and a CEO and founder who shall remain nameless. Still, Lindsay herself has been getting more specific about her plans for next summer, so I needed to know: is Lindsay Hubbard leaving Summer House?

Lindsay is not yet officially leaving Summer House, as she confirmed in part 2 of the season 9 reunion. When Andy asked Lindsay if she planned on spending time in the Hamptons for the summer of 2025, Lindsay said, “Yeah, I’ll be out there,” but at the same, she wasn’t sure if she’d be “living at the house every weekend” because she “has a small baby at home.” “But we’ll see how much I can make it to the house, and I’ll be in the city during the week,” Lindsay continued, basically telling her boss if they’re down, she’s down too. I like it!

Hard no! In a May 20 appearance on WWHL, Andy asked Kyle if he regretted suggesting Lindsay having a baby meant her end on Summer House. Lindsay corrected, “I thought Danielle suggested it,” referring back to a scene from season 9 where Danielle (who was already ejected from the cast after season 8, mind you, and just visiting for the weekend) told her friend she was “delulu” if she didn’t think “this was an ending” and that it was time for Lindsay to “hang up the cleats” after reminiscing on how they’ve “gone through so many summers.” My first question (after why ~Danny Girl~ is on our screens in the first place) was if Lindsay felt the same. Naturally, Lindsay hit Danielle with a no: “No. This doesn’t feel like an ending for me.” So, babe, speak for yourself!

Kyle agreed on Watch What Happens Live starting a family doesn’t mean the end of Summer House, telling Andy, “It’s a natural evolution for some of us to start families and think about what’s next, but that doesn’t necessarily mean bye-bye” since he and Amanda will “be in the same boat” hopefully soon enough. Lindsay cheekily asked AC, “So where do we go from here, Andy?” and Andy said they’d talk about it after the show. Well, we’re waiting for the update, y’all!!

Is Lindsay Hubbard joining RHONY?

After first being ambiguous about whether Lindsay was being considered to join the RHONY reboot given the announced casting overhaul (“It’s interesting. I mean we haven’t really had those discussions seriously at Bravo”) in March, Andy Cohen clarified in May, “I don’t think so,” re: Lindsay joining The Real Housewives. But he added that “she should always be on TV.”

Is Lindsay Hubbard getting a spinoff show?

Fans are speculating that a spinoff could be on the way because, frankly, it’s a fantastic idea, with Lindsay’s new life as a mom and Kyle and Amanda’s potential move to New Jersey to have a baby. Lest we also forget Paige’s declaratively booked and busy schedule due to podcasting and the fact that getting out of bed is a chore. I also suspect Gabby thrives in her day-to-day more than being cooped up with this specific crew. So, a city-based version of the Summer House makes sense but could be difficult, considering Next Gen NYC needs room to find its audience.
