FAWK Yes: Aaron And Kaylor Finally Broke Up After 'Love Island USA'!!!

It’s Friday, which means it’s time to send your group chat that classic TGIFAKAAFFBU text. Translation: thank God it’s Friday and Kaylor and Aaron finally fawking broke up!!! This is about a trillion times less exciting than it would’ve been if Kaylor had dug herself out of the trenches during Love Island USA season 6, but a win is a win, nonetheless. All sweaty summer long, viewers had to second-hand suffer through her awful relationship with a man who openly showed his best friend more respect than the girlfriend who was willing to forgive his criminal tomfoolery on national television. Don’t get me wrong: Woman to woman, I empathize with Kaylor and love that she has a big heart that she wears on her sleeve. But still, it’s like that one friend who keeps complaining about how shitty her boyfriend is, and then makes you awkwardly smile at him across the table at her birthday dinner he’s 25 minutes late for. Even Kaylor’s mom wasn’t keen on Aaron before she and Aaron’s mom decided to be a united front during the virtual meet-the-parents moment (a massively disappointing viewing experience as a type-A enneagram one who eats cold, hard justice and accountability for breakfast). So it seemed like the day would never come when Kaylor would be free of Aaron and his favorite two teeth, but it has. What was the final straw blonde you may ask? Here’s everything we know about why Kaylor and Aaron broke up after Love Island.

Are Kaylor and Aaron still together?

No, according to Kaylor’s latest appearance in New York. Kaylor announced in front of a crowd of screaming fans waiting outside of the Love Island reunion shoot that she and Aaron are “not okay” in fact they’re “done” and very much “not together.” However, according to skeptical fans who have been fooled one too many times by the couple’s backtracking, Kaylor’s impromptu rant after the reunion feels a little too good to be true. Internet detectives (my favorite kind) clocked some real evidence: Kaylor’s phone screen was still a picture of her and Aaron from the show at the time of said breakup announcement. Sooooo, what is the truth? To be fair, she hasn’t posted a pic with Aaron since July 27 (a whopping three weeks ago). I guess we’ll have to tune in on August 19 on Peacock at 9PM ET to find out for sure.

Why did Kaylor and Aaron break up?

Kaylor says that after watching Casa Amor she “feels 110% different about him,” because the “Aaron she fell in love with is not there.” Kaylor goes on to say she knows this isn’t going to be easy and she’s “scared for her life” because she knows “Aaron isn’t going to be happy” about this announcement (let’s go ahead hope/wish/pray that’s just hyperbole). Does this add up? Not really. Kaylor has had almost a month to watch Casa Amor, let alone every clip of Aaron’s betrayal the internet has cherry-picked to highlight his deceit. Maybe facing it all at the reunion, with her girls there to support her, encouraged her to stand TF up. Or maybe she felt pressured to give the public what they’ve been screaming, crying, throwing up over for weeks and she’ll quietly get back with him just as soon as it ended. Whatever she’s decided, it’s got to be because she wants it if it’s going to last.

What has Aaron said about his breakup with Kaylor after Love Island?

While he hasn’t addressed it outright, Aaron did use strong words in a recent video to describe his state of mind as of late. Aaron chose to describe himself as “depressed, anxious, and sad” since leaving The Villa in a “before/after” TikTok trend video that Love Island USA posted. For the record, before The Villa he was “a bit of a liability, feral, and enthusiastic.” Yep, sounds about right. His “after” words seemed a little jarring considering as far as the rest of the world knew, Aaron pretty much got away with everything behavior scott-free, as far as everyone who is close to him was concerned. I figured maybe he was referring to the overwhelmingly negative fan reactions to his Love Island persona, but maybe he knew Kaylor was planning to dump him then.
