UPDATE: Rumors that Kanye and Bianca were kicked out of The Grammys are reportedly false, according to a new report from TMZ.

Right before the show started, reports from Entertainment Tonight (which they then deleted, but worth mentioning), Page Six, and Cosmo, claimed industry sources alleged that Kanye West was asked to leave the event with his (naked) wife Bianca Censori because the pair allegedly weren’t actually invited to attend this year’s show. (Yes, you read that correctly, Bianca was naked on the red carpet, which would be shocking if walking around in public nude wasn’t her entire claim to fame ATP.)

Kanye West has been a controversial figure (and that’s putting it VERY lightly) for the better part of an extremely embattled decade, including a tumultuous breakup with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. Kanye also has a history of being the celebrated main character of many televised musical stages back in his past glory days (who can forget when he said George Bush didn’t care about black people?). But it’s not 2005 and that is not the Kanye who showed up to the 2025 Grammys red carpet. Even though the internet was buzzing over claims Kanye West and Bianca Censori had been escorted out of the 2025 awards, TMZ confirmed the allegations were not true. To the contrary, a source “close to the Recording Academy” claimed to TMZ that Kanye was invited due to his Best Rap Song nomination. Therefore Kanye arrived to walk the carpet like all the other guests and voluntarily left, no police involved, which the outlet confirmed by contacting the police. Local law enforcement confirmed they had no record of an incident involving Kanye on the February 2 evening.

Kanye was nominated for “Carnival” which he performed with Ty Dolla $ign. Ty was seen in the audience during the ceremony during one of Trevor Noah’s jokes.

Before the new reports, earlier in the night, “insider sources” alleged to Page Six that Kanye and Bianca were asked to leave after shocking the industry by walking the red carpet. These sources alleged that the couple was allegedly booted by the police because of the “crazy outfit moment,” which was apparently a reference to Kanye’s recent album Vultures. In said album art, Bianca appears nude standing from behind, which she also did during their red carpet appearance on February 2, 2025.

The initial (now deleted) ET report noted that Kanye was allegedly “escorted out of the awards show” with their “entourage of about five people.” Kanye had previously not been at the Grammys in 10 years.

There was speculation that Kanye was not invited to attend the Grammys at all since it was not previously reported Kanye would be in attendance and he was not marked on the seating chart ahead of time. Sources also claimed to Page Six that Bianca’s outfit, or lack thereof, could have potentially broken the dress code for the evening.

Either way, it was confirmed that Taylor Swift was an honored guest at The Grammys. It wouldn’t have been surprising if the organization made sure their fave was prioritized at the event, given Taylor’s rough history with Kanye and live awards shows, though that is now confirmed to be a non-issue.
