What? Did you actually think that the red carpet awards season was over? Think again because the 2025 GLAAD Media Awards, hosted by my very pretty Ugly Betty king, Michael Urie, served up not-to-be-missed pop culture moments on a platter. My personal favorite moment was when Jools Lebron made the stage all mindful and demure, but perhaps I’m biased since that’s one of my top parasocial pals.
The best part about the GLAAD Awards is that the event somehow manages to find the perfect way to blend celebrating the cause (LGBTQ+ rights and representation, duh) and, well, entertainment. I mean, watching a bisexual baddie like Doechii give yet another highly deserved awards acceptance speech in another highly fashionable avant-garde moment? That’s primetime TV, baby! If I had to summarize last night’s fashions in one phrase, it would be: buttoned to the TOP! And I mean that in the best way possible.
