Want To Achieve Sabrina Carpenter's Blowout From The Grammys? Here's How

As a regular person, celebrity events are great for me for two reasons: one, I usually get to witness some sort of pop culture drama play out in real-time (Bianca Censori, I’m looking at you), and two, I get to put my fake Anna Wintour hat on and judge all of the celebrity fashion. Because I’m a hater, this is usually to come up with a mental worst-dressed list, but very rarely, I’ll look at a celebrity and take note of something I really want to recreate for myself. And at this year’s Grammys, that look was Sabrina Carpenter’s hairdo.

Now, to give credit where credit is due, my girl Sabrina always has fantastic-looking hair. She and her stylists discovered that the old Hollywood, voluminous curls look good on her, and they’ve been running with it ever since — and the 2025 Grammys were no exception. When she was walking the red carpet, Sabrina wore a pinned-up curly look thatby the time she was accepting a Grammy award of her own — had evolved into curly, free-flowing hair.

Whether you have a birthday coming up or just want to channel your inner Sabrina for a night out, here’s how you can achieve the look on your own.

How Can I Get Sabrina Carpenter-Level Curls At Home?

Lucky for us, one of Sabrina’s celebrity hairstylists Laurie Heaps is pretty open about her techniques for working on Sabrina’s hair. She even cut and colored her hair for the Grammys.

To achieve Sabrina-style curls, first section off the hair and/or separate the top from the bottom section to focus styling on one area at a time. Then straighten the strands before taking a 1.5 inch curling iron and curling the hair toward the scalp, pinning each curl up after it’s done. After that, hairspray each section and continue that over the entire back of the head.

For the front half of your head, take strands and curl them toward the scalp, and continue to do this down the frame of your face, pinning up the curls as you continue. Make sure that you’re maintaining a side part and that all of the curls are made facing one side of your head (if your part is closer to the right side of your head, make sure the curls are made facing the left). Then, take the curls down and start to brush them out with a flat brush. Voila! You have achieved a flawless, bouncy look that’ll have people asking you, “Is it that sweet?”

Does Sabrina Carpenter Wear A Wig?

There’s actually been a lot of speculation as to whether Sabrina wears wigs or not. I mean, her hair always looks so voluminously perfect, so I can’t blame people for wondering. While Sabrina’s even shared fan videos of people speculating about her wig use on her own Instagram story, she’s never actually confirmed or denied the rumors. However, there’s a high likelihood she’s been using extensions — something to keep in mind as you try to recreate her Grammys look at home.
