In case you’ve been living under a boulder made of Loveryboy cans, the queen of summer, Lindsay Hubbard is pregnant! Anyone who is even a little familiar with the seasonal masterpiece that is Summer House knows that Hubbhouse has been wanting to have a family for some time now, so call me a sap, but this feels like a big win for boss bitches everywhere. As happy as Hubbhouse truthers are to see Lindsay stay winning, with a brand new mystery man and a baby on the way, it feels naive to assume that everyone on the v messy reality TV show dependent on drama will be equally as over the moon for Lindsay’s new chapter. To anyone complaining about a pregnant person being on Summer House, I would like to gently remind you that pregnancy is (legally, may I add) not a disqualifier from keeping your job. I, for one, am thankful for reality stars who want to get up and work these days! Still, outside of the haters who apparently just discovered what sponsored content is in 2024, Lindsay also has to deal with her ex-fiance/current roommate/definitely employed individual Carl Radke’s response to the big news. Or does she? Let’s preemptively overanalyze Carl’s reaction to Lindsay’s pregnancy since it’s going to be televised, anyway.
What did Carl say about Lindsay’s pregnancy?
So far, if any words have been exchanged between Carl and Lindsay regarding her announcement, they’ve been in the privacy of their Hamptons house (hopefully with cameras nearby). For her part, Lindsay shared exclusively with People that whatever Carl’s thoughts and opinions about her pregnancy are, they’re “not her problem anymore.” She didn’t go out of her way to tell him because “that relationship is in [her] past” and she “can’t really focus on [her] past anymore,” because she’s “so focused on [her] present and…future.” I know that’s right.
‘Summer House’ Cast’s Reaction To Lindsay’s Pregnancy
So far, most of the cast have congratulated Lindsay publicly, including former Summer House members Sam Feher and Andrea Denver. Kyle Cooke and eventually Amanda Batula (four days later) commented their support that Lindsay was going to be a great mom to the “luckiest baby,” which is quite a different opinion than the ones they shouted across the reunion couch just two months ago. Paige also dropped a joke in the comments section, writing that it’s “scary” how she “manifested” this 180-degree pivot for Lindsay, a callback to how Paige insisted her co-star should move on 48 hours after the wedding was called off.
