Disney definitely made some v questionable decisions over the years, but they also did a thing or two right when it comes to Halloween. While nothing is spookier than being an adult who has to answer emails and pay bills instead of eating Lunchables and watching Disney Channel all day, I still get excited every October, when it’s officially time to get into the Halloween spirit. Everyone knows step one of low-key Disney Adult behavior is to pop on Hocus Pocus (and ponder for the millionth time if SJP is, in fact, the hottest witch in history). But don’t let a classic scary movie lineup cause you to sleep on the festive episodes of all the Disney Channel shows that made Spooky Season special. I would pay upwards of a million dollars to be a middle schooler whose biggest conundrum was which episode of That’s So Raven to watch again, but unless Elon Musk did his big one when I wasn’t looking, time travel is still not a thing yet. In the meantime, here are the best Disney Channel Halloween episodes to fill your rot time with childlike wonder.
Best Disney Channel Halloween Episodes
That’s So Raven Season 2, Episode 2 “Don’t Have A Cow”
Our favorite besties Raven and Chelsea accidentally take All Hallow’s Eve too seriously when they turn themselves into cows for the big Halloween bash. You don’t have to be psychic to know that doesn’t go over well.
Hannah Montana Season 1, Episode 17 “Torn Between Two Hannahs”
In this episode full of teen angst, Miley Stewart’s evil cousin LuAnn tries to blow up her spot at a Halloween party by copying her Hannah Montana persona. Don’t worry, Lilly and Oliver have Miley’s back her usual so it all works out.
Kim Possible Season 1, Episode 2 “Sink Or Swim”
While the official Halloween episode of Kim Possible is actually the fourteenth episode of season one, real ones will remember the swamp monster that gave me nightmares for years. Kim, Ron, and their cheerleading squad getting stuck at Camp Wannaweep is basically a mini horror movie. Stay away from cabin 13!
Wizards Of Waverly Place Season 3, Episode 2 “Halloween”
Baby Selena and her fam start beefing with their neighbors about their Halloween display not being scary enough. Oh, the irony. I wonder if they’ll remake this episode in the reboot nobody asked for?
Lizzie McGuire Season 1, Episode 2 “Night Of The Day Of The Dead”
Kate bossing Lizzie around at the school Halloween is so not what dreams are made of. Lizzie getting ghostly revenge in a killer clown costume is though!
Boy Meets World Season 5, Episode 15 “And Then There Was Shawn”
Why was the episode of Boy Meets World randomly terrifying? There are one too many jump scares and gorey stunts for my liking to watch this one late at night, so beware (if you’re a little fraidy cat like me). Also, be aware there is a very iconic Jennifer Love Hewitt cameo.
The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody Season 1, Episode 19 “The Ghost In Suite 613”
Nothing makes me feel 13 again like the Sprouse twins wreaking havoc in Mr. Mosby’s hotel. This time, Zack and Cody are joined by London, Maddie, and of course Esteban for a night of terror in the Tipton’s most haunted room. This episode is perfect for your own slumber party, even if it’s just you and your cat.
Phineas And Ferb Season 4, Episode 19 “Druselsteinoween/Face Your Fear”
Maybe this is wrong, but I personally empathize with Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Like yes, he’s evil and all, but that’s kind of just his job! In the first half of the episode, he inherits a castle he has no idea what to do with and in the second episode the kids face off in Halloween costumes to die for.
