At the end of the first six episodes of Love is Blind season 7, the couples have only been out of the pods for a few days, and there are already plenty of disasters happening. (The “experiment” doesn’t really work? No way!!) Unfortunately, Tim and Alex are among those disasters. They fell hard for each other in the pods, but apparently had a blowout argument and slept in separate beds in Mexico… it’s not exactly giving happy engagement era. It’s still unknown if these two made it to the altar, but yeah, I don’t have a lot of faith in them. In episode 6, we saw some serious shit go down between Tim and Alex. After the party where all the remaining cast members met each other, this couple apparently had a massive, game-changing fight. Although they didn’t show the fight itself, we saw their intense morning-after convo, and I’m stressed. According to Tim, the energy was just suddenly “off” after the party, and he didn’t know why. Alex explained that she was just feeling homesick, wanted to go to bed, and didn’t really feel like talking.
“I felt very shunned in the moment,” Tim told her about their fight. “I started to feel very unheard and like I couldn’t complete a sentence. I started to feel very, very disrespected.” Alex admitted things got worse when she covered his mouth… um, what the fuck? Her explanation for that one was: “I just wanted you to stop being upset.” Bruh. I don’t think covering someone’s mouth is gonna achieve that.
Tim is a communicative king, I gotta say. “There are lines with me that you don’t cross,” he told Alex, firmly. “Some shit was just not cool that happened yesterday. You were saying a lot of things, and you were very in my face.” He explained that he tries to “only move and operate in love,” but has to have some respect for himself. Valid.
The web content strategist also made it clear that he “came with the full intention that this was probably gonna be the last conversation” they had. At the end of their talk, it seemed like he wasn’t ready to end the relationship just yet, but he was extremely hurt and mad.
In the trailer for the rest of the season, Tim and Alex are in a fight (shocker). “I am trying my hardest to understand you and work with you,” Alex says, angrily in the preview clip. I fear some Love is Blind couples just aren’t meant to be outside of the pods. But hey, maybe Tim and Alex will surprise us all and miraculously work through their serious issues. Stay tuned!
