'Vanderpump Rules' Is Officially Rebooting The Entire Cast For Season 12

Let’s face it, Vanderpump Rules has been holding on by the last thread in Lisa Vanderpump’s hand-selected $500 SUR throw pillows for some time now. If it wasn’t for a little bambi-eyed-bitch by the name of Rachel and her not-so-secretly evil mastermind BF, Tom Sandoval, doing something so deranged it made international news, the show would’ve been over two seasons ago. But now, as we approach the year of our Lord 2025, even the electric thrill and adrenaline from Scandoval that once could fuel me for an entire marathon has fallen to the wayside. I don’t want to see a worm with a mustache and an untrained puppy close the bar that they probably should’ve never opened in the first place. (I mean we can’t be totally shocked a bar whose highlights were a lobster corndog and a ceiling sound bath didn’t make it in the Los Angeles hospitality market, right?)

And, as much as I loved my Something About Her sandwich sampling, it’s obvious that Ariana and Katie have elevated beyond the confines of their former West Hollywood stomping grounds. Would I keep up with James in his hilling era and Ally in her pop star/astrology era? Yes, I would, but that’s not the same energy as a cast trip to Hawaii where I’m not sure if the lead narcissist is going to make it back home or be thrown in jail. That’s why I’m thrilled Bravo is apparently pulling a Red Wedding on the current VPR cast to start over fresh, according to TMZ. Here’s everything we know about The Vanderpump Rules season 12 all-new cast details.

Vanderpump Rules Season 12 Cast

Who will be on Vanderpump Rules season 12?

None of the existing cast members will be returning to VPR’s upcoming season 12, according to TMZ’s breaking insight from Bravo. This means officially saying goodbye to the faces fans have known for so long: Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, Lala Kent, James Kennedy, and Scheana Schay (P.S. If someone hasn’t checked on her yet, please do ASAP!!). The new cast members have begun filming but their names have yet to be released to the hungry public.

Will Lisa Vanderpump return to Vanderpump Rules?

Everyone has gotten the chop except for, of course, Lisa Vanderpump because a) she is an icon, b) it’s her restaurant, and c) she is an executive producer on the series, duh!! The HBIC will be ushering in an entirely new cast of SUR employees for us Bravoholics to stalk, and given the talent she scrounged up for Vanderpump Villa, I’m hopeful a new batch of toxic twenty-somethings can live up to the big ol’ shoes they now have to fill.

When does Vanderpump Rules season 12 premiere?

Cameras were spotted rolling in WeHo back in September of 2024, which is a little late for the usual VPR summer schedule. This means season 12 probs won’t arrive until late spring of 2025 at the earliest, as opposed to season 11’s January premiere.

OG Cast “Farewell Special”

There will be one last filmed send-off to the current VPR cast, as also included in the TMZ report. The “retrospective” look at the show’s iconic history could be entirely new footage, fan fave highlights, or a combination of the two. Though it’s not yet announced when the special will air, or who will be included (as in cast members of yesteryear like Jax, Brittany, Stassi, or Kristen), let’s hope it’s the perfect finale to the best days of our lives (IYKYK).

Ahead of the sentimental special, the VPR cast has gone to social media to say goodbye to fans. Lauren from Utah wrote a lengthy caption over a slideshow of memz with her cast members (even though she speaks to none of them except Scheana). She called joining the Bravo hit several seasons in “the most intimidating job [she’s] ever had.” The two-time mama bear has “mixed feelings” about the abrupt departure but is “unbelievably grateful for Bravo, for NBCU, for [the] crew, the entire cast, and most importantly” the fans.

Ariana Madix, who has already moved on to Love Island, Broadway, and much more, posted a similar heartfelt shoutout. She included plenty of photos in a slideshow of all her favorite moments over the seasons (none of which included Lala or Sandoval, coincidentally enough). In the caption, Ariana called VPR “forever that girl.” The sandwich shop queen is “at peace with closing this chapter” and “excited for everything that is to come” despite how much she will miss the “love and support” of “fans who have shown up for [the show], old and new.”

Katie Maloney kept her tribute short and sweet. She remembered Vanderpump Rules as a “mixed bag” though she “wouldn’t change a thing.”
