Victoria Justice is a pillar of pop culture for those of us were raised by Zoey 101 and/or Victorious, so Betches was honored to quiz her on pop culture and social media trends in our latest installment of “How Online Are You?” The actress and singer is busy working on music and promoting her new singles “Raw” and “Down,” but she also manages to make time for a TikTok scrolling sesh here and there. Naturally, we had to ask her about brat summer, Miranda Cosgrove’s favorite curse word, Rob from Love Island, and more essential hot topics. When asked about who worked it out on the remix, Victoria confidently replied, “Lorde and Charli, duh! You know I ride for you, Charli.” She also recognized Charli’s now-famous “kamala IS brat” tweet. “I saw this on TikTok right before I came in here,” Victoria seemed excited to announce. “I’ve been watching all the coconut tree videos. It’s like all on my For You page. I love it.” She’s really just like us.
Sooo, is the actress having a brat summer? “I think so!” Victoria declared. “I love the album. My personal favorite is ‘girl, so confusing,’ the Lorde remix.” Taste. Now, I need her to do the “Apple” dance.
Victoria is definitely aware that her fellow Nickelodeon queen, Miranda Cosgrove, actually does cuss a little. She did a flawless impression of Miranda’s sweet, “uh, probably fuck!” It turns out, enjoying the word “fuck” is something she has in common with the iCarly star. “It’s a classic!” Victoria told Betches. “You can’t go wrong.”
The rawdogging flights question stumped the Zoey 101 alum. “I’m gonna take a wild guess,” she said. “Maybe like not using hand sanitizer or wiping it down or something…” When Betches defined the term for her, she laughed. “Wait, that is so funny!” Victoria said. “Maybe I should challenge myself on the way back to L.A. and just rawdog that flight home really hard.” I expect to see her TikTok documentation ASAP.
Victoria was shown a photo of Rob Rausch, and she immediately recognized the Love Island villain. “I do know who this man is!” she exclaimed. “I only know this because my sister is obsessed with Love Island. And this is Rob, right? And he’s a snake trainer.” Pop cultured queen.
