Some of us are afflicted with a severe case of 2014 right now, and I’m not sure we’ll ever recover. Since I finished The Idea of You, I have watched several One Direction music videos and revisited some of own genius fanfic work. And I may have also blasted Taylor Swift’s “Style” and “Out of the Woods” on repeat because I’m just a woman who loves a little Haylor lore. I blame Nicholas Galitzine and Anne Hathway’s impeccable Idea of You performances for this reverting-me-to-middle-school condition. The chemistry, the fantasy, the dancing and kissing… it is all absolutely unacceptable.
In the glorious rom-com, Nicholas plays the lead singer of August Moon (*cough* One Direction), Hayes Campbell (*cough* Harry Styles). We’re all well-aware that Anne, who plays his art gallery owner love interest, is a goddess. But we have been overlooking this man!! Despite starring in Cinderella, Purple Hearts, and Red, White, & Blue, Nicholas hasn’t achieved proper heartthrob status. That changes today. My king has the voice of an angel, the accent from heaven, and the most adorable dance moves ever. People on Twitter get it. These Idea of You tweets will convert you to Nicholas stanhood.
