Wait, Reneé Rapp IS Gonna Be In Season 3 Of 'The Sex Lives Of College Girls'?!

Is The Sex Lives of College Girls a high-quality, tasteful show? Absolutely not. Am I obsessed with it? Absolutely. These girlies’ college experience is a lot more ~exciting~ than mine was: I wasn’t hooking up with a soccer coach, pursuing my best friend’s ex-boyfriends, sleeping with visiting stand-up comedians to get a job, or selling my eggs to make up for my cheating scandal (you chaotic queen, Kimberly). You simply can’t deny this series is riveting. Plus, it introduced me to the one and only Reneé Rapp, who’s now a global music superstar. Devastatingly, Reneé is following the path of many pop stars before her and moving away from TV to focus on music, so she’s no longer starring in the Max masterpiece. However, she will appear in a few episodes this upcoming season: Here’s everything to know about Renee Rapp’s Sex Lives of College Girls season 3 episodes.

The Sex Lives Of College Girls Season 3: Reneé Rapp Episodes

When Does Season 3 Of Sex Lives Of College Girls Come Out?

We have a lot to be grateful for this Thanksgiving season because the third season of this glorious show is set to drop on Thursday, November 21! We can look forward to a new episode every week through January 23. Yup, they’re making us watch TV the old-fashioned way, which is annoying but probably healthy.

Reneé Rapp’s Season 3 Sex Lives Of College Girls Episodes

At the end of season 2, Reneé’s character, Leighton had just come out to her father and quit her sorority. Although Reneé announced back in July 2023 that she’d no longer be a series regular, the singer will still appear in a few episodes as a recurring guest star in season 3. A huge win for the young ex-wives! Basically, she’s pulling an Olivia Rodrigo in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and returning to the show purely to set up her character’s departure. In a tweet about leaving the series, Reneé reflected, “A lot of queer work gets belittled—but playing Leighton has changed my life. I love who I am 10x more than I did before knowing her. I hope she gave y’all a little bit of that too.” Crying.

In the new teaser for season 3, we see Leighton having a drink with her besties, hugging them, and questioning their choices. Welp, I shall cherish these last few Leighton moments. TBH, I can’t really picture this show working without Reneé, but we’ll see, I guess.

Reneé hasn’t formally quit acting yet, but she’s definitely hinted that her heart’s with music right now. During a September 2023 interview with The Los Angeles Times, she shared that making her debut album, Snow Angel, made her happier than acting has. “Writing this album has made me feel more accomplished, and accomplished makes me feel better,” Reneé said. “Which maybe sucks? But I definitely feel more self-assured than I did.” She noted that TV and film sets make her really anxious. “I go back and forth, because I get so anxious on sets and I feel shit about myself,” she explained. “So I feel like I shouldn’t put myself back in that environment.” I just want the queen to do what’s best for her, and whenever she wants to announce that sophomore album, I’m so ready.
