Kim Kardashian Finally Gets To Be A Lawyer In Ryan Murphy's New Show

Kim Kardashian is determined to be a lawyer, whether she actually becomes one in real life or just plays one on TV. Apparently she’s still taking class and exams to slowly move the needle toward one day passing the bar and practicing law in California. But that seems to be slow going, and I get it. She’s busy, especially as she launches her burgeoning acting career. I guess Kim gets to practice at practicing law, because she’s playing a lawyer in Ryan Murphy’s latest show.

A Ryan Murphy and Kim Kardashian collab is kind of a match made in heaven. They previously worked together on American Horror Story: Delicate, but now Kim gets to lead a whole series herself. In a season 5 episode of The Kardashians, Ryan appeared to pitch the show to Kim and momager Kris Jenner. “So, Kim is the world’s best, most expensive divorce lawyer and she has her own firm. And the thing about her firm is that it’s an all-female firm,” he explained.

It sounds like Sex and the City meets Suits, but with an even campier flair, and TBH I’m already on board. Here’s everything we know abut Ryan Murphy’s new show All’s Fair.

All’s Fair Plot

All’s Fair is about a group of female divorce attorneys who leave their old firm to start their own all-women practice. Here’s the official synopsis: “Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances — both in the courtroom and within their own ranks. In a world where money talks and love is a battleground, these women don’t just play the game — they change it.”

There’s also a trailer for the series, which is set to a remix of “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago and only makes me want to watch even more.

The cast of All’s Fair is full of acting royalty and Ryan Murphy’s faves. In addition to Kim, the cast includes Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, and Matthew Noszka, with Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close in additional roles.

Glenn Close, who’s been nominated for an Oscar eight times, gave rave reviews of Kim’s performance. “I was so impressed by Kim,” she told E! News. “I say that absolutely sincerely. First of all, she’s a very sweet woman, she does her homework, she has great people around her, which says a lot. She’s not a prima donna. She was studying for her law exam during some of the setups near the end of our shooting. She has a lot of balls in the air.”
