Bravholics gather round, the season 9 trailer of The Real Housewives of Potomac is finally upon us!!! Let’s be real, it’s been a difficult past couple of seasons for us loyal, dedicated Potomac fans who fell in love with a group of overgrown debutantes rubbing elbows with political movers and shakers on the border of Washington DC. It’s obvious that the Housewives are not quite housewiving as they should be when the cast can’t even take an expensive vacation to a gorgeous foreign country together in peace. While which women actually live in the elite Maryland neighborhood is constantly up for debate, I ride for each and every one of my RHOP legends, just as hard as Karen rides for a bleach-blonde lace front wig. Now that one-half of the Blue-Eyed Bandits (Robyn Dixon) and The Cry-angle Queen (Candiace Dillard) have formally gotten the axe, RHOP has every opportunity to take their firing as a warning to get back to the good times. Hopefully, the returning OGs have learned something over the break and have taught their esteemed reality TV findings to the multiple newbies joining the cast. Let’s break down the season 9 RHOP trailer and all of the details for the upcoming season.

The trailer focuses in great part on the drama surrounding Karen Huger’s DUI over the summer. ICYMI, the grande dame was arrested and charged with a DUI after crashing her Maserati in her home state. In clips of the season, Karen is seen arguing that “she could’ve died” and it seems like Ashley Darby (reigning queen of keeping a hundred) had to point out that Karen is obviously not the only one whou could’ve gotten hurt. The teaser also highlights that Gizelle is dating again after an apparent breakup from Winter House’s Jason, and possibly to avoid the fact that her ex-husband Jamal is engaged — again. Karen’s new friend Stacey Rusch seems to be defending Karen to the rest of the cast, but she also takes time to scream “It is her birthday, show some respect!” across a dinner table which feels like a very likely quote to enter the Bravo cannon ASAP.
When does season 9 of RHOP premiere?

According to the trailer, Bravo is welcoming back Housewives Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Wendy Osefo, Karen Huger, and Mia Thornton. In addition, the network sprung on two brand new fresh faces to shake things up: Stacey Rusch and Keiarna Stewart. Kiearna appeared as a friend of the show last season and apparently passed the test! Her storyline for her first go in the big leagues looks like it focuses on her marriage and the aftermath of the physical fight after Ashley’s fashion show during the season 8 finale. Meanwhile, Stacey is a former QVC host and professional mama bear who has an existing relationship with Karen Huger. According to Bravo’s press release, we can’t get rid of Mia’s messy mate Jacqueline and a new friend, Jassi, will join the gang. A quick stalk of Jassi’s Insta tells me she’s fun, fashionable, and rich (she’s married to a Dallas Cowboy).
