Lesbi-honest… Rebel Wilson low-key predicted the future with this classic Fat Amy line in Pitch Perfect: “So, there’s like 10 of us. That means one of us is probably a lesbian.” Anna Camp’s character, projectile-vomiting queen Aubrey, replies, “You think? Which one do you think it is?”
There’s a reason why this gem of a scene is going viral 13 years after the musical movie masterpiece hit theaters — Rebel and Anna are reuniting for a new action-comedy, Bride Hard, and they’re both WLW icons now! Rebel is happily married to Lemon Ve Limon founder Ramona Agruma, and Anna just made her red carpet debut with writer, stylist, and art assistant Jade Whipkey. “Listen, we manifested,” Anna quipped.
So yeah, Amy’s one in 10 estimate was definitely too low. Rebel told Betches she heard a “statistic that actually 80 percent of women have gay tendencies.” Sounds accurate to me, but maybe I’m biased ’cause I live in Brooklyn. “I mean, I would just put it out there now that all of us are gay,” Rebel joked in an interview with Betches about the Pitch Perfect cast. Anna chimed in, “We’re trying to say, Happy Pride Month!”
Happy Pride Month indeed! Here’s what Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp shared about Pitch Perfect and sexuality during an exclusive interview with Betches.

When Rebel changed pop culture forever with that legendary “Lesbi-honest” joke, she actually had reservations about saying the line, since she hadn’t fully discovered her own queerness yet. “A part of me was like, ‘Am I allowed to do that?’” she recalled. Anna interjected, “But lesbi-honest… It’s funny.” She accurately described the line as “a gift that keeps on giving.”
“Did I think at the time I would then go be in a relationship with a woman?” Rebel continued. “At the time, no.” Not while filming the first Pitch Perfect movie, at least. According to Rebel, the cast had some revealing conversations about their identities while filming the second installment. “I remember on the set of Pitch Perfect 2, having a real interesting chat with a lot of the girls about sexuality and stuff, and it was really lovely to have a chat with the girls,” she spilled. Anna noted that she “surprisingly” missed out on that.
As Rebel pointed out, it was a very different time 13 years ago when they filmed the OG Pitch Perfect. “None of us were hiding anything,” she clarified. “It’s just we had different journeys on our sexuality journeys.” Anna agreed, adding, “Absolutely.”
In summary? “We’re all gay with each other,” Rebel deadpanned. “Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow are really in a relationship.” That hilarious (obviously false) one-liner caught Anna off guard. She laughed and exclaimed, “Oh my gosh, Rebel!”
Anna told Betches that she’s just glad the movie still resonates today. “I didn’t know it was going to be that big of a hit,” she admitted. Rebel, however, was totally aware that they were creating a pop culture phenomenon. “I did think it was going to be a hit,” she emphasized. Manifestation at its finest!
The Bride Hard stars have some very entertaining theories about where Amy and Aubrey would be today. “I turned out to be a doula,” Anna said about her character in Pitch Perfect 3. “I think that Aubrey is out with the hippies and she is like doing Ayahuasca now, and she is birthing babies… She’s very free.” God, I love that trajectory for her. As for Amy, Rebel’s hoping she eventually reconnects with Bumper.
“What if you guys get married?” Anna suggested to Rebel. “And I could birth your baby.” Folks, I think we just got a Pitch Perfect 4 plot, and I need that movie, immediately.
