It’s been over a year since Scandoval broke records and made pop culture history, and yet… it never seems to truly end. Like, even I’m ready to move on at this point. Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules was entirely focused on the cast dealing with the scandal aftermath and mending (or not mending) friendships. If we’re being honest, the first part of the reunion was basically a more boring version of last year’s. I fear this group needs some new material ASAP. Can we revisit Schwartz and Katie fighting over a girl? That was fun.
Back in February, there were new Scandoval headlines about Raquel/Rachel filing a lawsuit against Sandoval and Ariana for creating and distributing revenge porn. Andy briefly broached the subject on the reunion, but Sandoval and Ariana weren’t allowed to say too much. So, what the fuck is going with this Raquel lawsuit? Were Sandoval and Ariana actually involved in revenge porn? Here’s everything we know about Raquel’s bombshell lawsuit and how Sandoval and Ariana feel about it. Spoiler alert: They’re not thrilled.
Why Is Raquel Suing Tom And Ariana?
In February, Raquel filed a lawsuit accusing Sandoval and Ariana of producing and distributing revenge porn against her. The civil complaint argues that the reality star was a “victim of the predatory and dishonest behavior of an older man who recorded sexually explicit videos of her without her knowledge or consent.” It claims that those videos were “distributed, disseminated and discussed publicly by a scorned woman seeking vengeance, catalyzing the scandal.”
You may recall that Ariana initially found out about the affair when Sandoval’s phone fell out of his pocket and she discovered a ~revealing~ video. According to the lawsuit, that video had been “recorded by Sandoval without her [Raquel’s] knowledge or consent.” Apparently, Raquel believes that Ariana is in possession of two sexually explicit videos recorded by Sandoval and has “distributed and disseminated them to others.” Hmmm.
What Did The VPR Cast Say About The Lawsuit During The Reunion?
Of course, Sandoval and Ariana were not able to comment since the lawsuit is ongoing. But Scheana jumped right in to share her opinion when Andy brought it up. “It’s ridiculous,” Scheana said. “Ariana didn’t send that video to anyone. She was not distributing it. It’s so ridiculous that she is being put through this shit again as if Raquel didn’t put her through enough last year.” Ariana chimed in, “I don’t understand. I’ve never done anything to her.”
Naturally, Sandoval added his two cents as well. “It’s one thing for her to come after me but for her to come after Ariana, I just, I’m questioning if she has a fuckin’ soul,” he said, adding, “Like, it’s insane.” Yes, Sandoval… Raquel is definitely the only one who doesn’t have a soul.
