If you somehow weren’t already aware, season 2 of The Real Housewives of Dubai is pure gold. Caroline Stanbury, Chanel Ayan, Lesa Milan, and the rest of the crew heard the question “Can the Real Housewives just have fun again?” and answered it with a resounding very expensive yes. Sure there’s been some beefing too, mostly between newcomer Taleen Marie and wildcard Caroline Brooks, but there’s been more than enough luxury excursions in Bali and designer outfit moments at polo matches to balance all the shade out. The ladies have also made a point to include their better halves in the second season, which has been a welcome addition to round out the cast. We love a House Husband stepping up to give us content (in small doses that don’t bother trying to outshine women’s business). So whose my fave between silly little Sergio, Chanel’s Daddy Warbucks lookalike? Here’s the official ranking of The Real Housewives of Dubai husbands the Bravoverse has been waiting for.

Rafael, or Rafe, as Taleen calls him actually seems like a really good time who spares no expense on being the life of the party. However, the ferocity with which he piped up during Taleen’s fight with Brooks was a little too involved for my liking. Trust me, I’m very much Team Taleen in her dramatic spiral off the rail with her former bestie, but I’m also team your husband doesn’t need to fight your battles so easily, even if he has a personal relationship with Caroline himself. I do think Rafe shows a great sense of humor about being Taleen’s new “dog” in Hermes on camera but sir, kindly remember you’re not the titular role here.

I see why Lesa is head over heels for Rich, from his cheeky chap energy to his impressive net worth, which outranks all of the other men by far. What I’m not so crazy about is how overwhelmed she constantly expresses feeling about being a mom while running her business. In my book, a wife shouldn’t have to “ask” the other procreator in the equation for “help” feeding, transporting, and raising their children. Sure, Rich jumped to the task but it was giving babysitting your own babies. It didn’t help that when Lesa called from the Bali girls’ trip his mom was actually the one watching the kids while he had some beers with the boys. I do appreciate a man willing to drop everything to entertain a drunken rant, though.

There’s something about a soft-spoken bald man that gives me luxury, teddy bear vibes, and don’t fuck with me energy all at the same time. Like, Chris might low-key be a Lex Luthor type, but it’s actually fine for Chanel because she’s on his team and what happens to the rest of the world isn’t her problem. That being said, Chris seems to be super sweet, a great dad to Taj, and the perfect palatable balance to Chanel’s OTT energy. The only reason he wasn’t at the top of this list is that we actually don’t know enough about Chris, or as he’s sometimes referred to, Luca Salves. I have just a few questions about the entrepreneur and their global lifestyle before I’m 100% sold.

This is perhaps a little bit of a hot take (oopsie!) but I deeply aspire to find a husband who possesses the sheer level of obsession Sergio simps for Caroline on the daily. She kinda can’t stand him but she definitely can’t live without him at the same time, and their constant ribbing (hopefully) comes from a place of deep security provided by knowing they’re each other’s person. Sergio is like an impossible little puppy dog you can’t get mad at when it won’t stop barking but who also knows when to heel at Caroline’s command in a group setting (Rafe, take notes). If you didn’t laugh when he pretended he was following them to Bali, sad! Plus, Sergio is never afraid to be vulnerable when it comes to his wants and needs with Caroline or trouble striking a balance with her kids. They’re far from perfect but I never want either of these problem children off of my TV ever again.
