Paige DeSorbo's 'Summer House' Bed Rot Era Has Come To An End

Aww, there’s nothing like that melancholy feeling when one class graduates, allowing a new group of youthful buffoons to take their place each summer (that’s why “Friends Forever” is possibly the saddest song in the history of mankind). Graduations also happen for reality stars on the Bravo network (more often early dismissals, but still, it happens), and it looks like it’s Paige DeSorbo’s time on the podium (though knowing Paige, she’d prefer a sassy little “boys suck” jingle from Taylor Swift to play as her backup music instead).  Though it seemed pretty obvious the ~giggles~ couldn’t last forever, I guess, much like Paige’s breakup, the timing of following in Hannah’s footsteps to bounce from the Hamptons raises a few questions. So, why did Paige Desorbo quit Summer House? I have some theories.

Paige shared the not-so-surprising news on an Instagram Story on June 5, writing, “I have a little life update for you: I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House.” Paige continued by graciously calling the show “one of the most rewarding chapters of [her] life,” letting the world “watch [her] grow up over these last 7 summers.” Paige went on to explain, “Like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close,” ofc making room for one final perceived dig at her ex, Craig Conover, and yes, that is the most obvious implication Paige is surely aware of. Paige thanked her “castmates, the fans,” and NBC Universal, and promised her fans (surely in tears by now) that they “haven’t seen the last” of her, she pinky promises! Kisses!!

It appears Paige left to focus on her new direct-to-consumer sleepwear line, Daphne — thanks to a whopping clue Paige left in her sign-off: “But for now, you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed.” Daphne is a cat Paige got in 2024 and has now named her line, produced by the company Concept Brands, after. Daphne’s site, which officially launches later in June, says, “You’ve been dreaming of this,” which is certainly true for Paige’s Gigglers.

Paige also has expressed on Summer House how much energy and dedication it takes to her podcast Giggly Squad with Hannah Berner, which also toured across 28 stops this past calendar year. Paige is probably making space to tour again without the added anxiety she experienced juggling jobs and a boyfriend, as seen this last season on Summer House.

Is Paige DeSorbo getting her own show?

It feels unlikely Paige would get an entirely solo spinoff, at least backed by Bravo, but I have been predicting there could be a city-centric offshoot of Summer House with some of the older housemates in the works.
