If you’re also deeply invested in Netflix teen dramas (at the ripe age of 20-something or 30-something), I have amazing news for you: My Life With the Walter Boys season 2 is coming later this summer. At long last, we’ll get to see more of Jackie’s slightly incest-y love story with the Walter boys.

To refresh your memory, the 15-year-old high school student moved from NYC to Silver Springs, Colorado, after her whole family died. She moved in with her mother’s best friend, Katherine, who is the mother of 10 boys. A nightmare, truly. Even though Jackie’s been adopted into this family now, she’s in a love triangle with two of the brothers, Cole and Alex. I’ll admit it’s an extremely questionable situation. And like every girlie in a teen drama, she’s also busy trying to get into Princeton. At the end of season 1, Jackie leaves for NYC for the summer, and it’s unclear which brother she’s choosing.

Show creator Melanie Halsall teased Netflix that “Season 2 is bigger and better.” Ohhh, I’m so sat. She added, “We’ve got massive set pieces in each episode, and the stories are more intricate. We found our feet with our characters, [and] the actors really understand their characters now. When I was coming back, I was excited to start shooting again because I knew we had great stories to tell.”

Here’s everything to know about My Life With the Walter Boys season 2, including the release date, cast, and plot.

Naturally, the love triangle participants will be back this season, so get ready for more Nikki Rodriguez (Jackie), Noah LaLonde (Cole), and Ashby Gentry (Alex). The rest of the Walter boys and their parents (Sarah Rafferty as Katherine and Marc Blucas as George) will also return for the second season.

And there will be five new cast members, too! According to Tudum, Riele Downs plays a “flirty girl in Alex’s driver’s ed class” named Maria, Carson MacCormac takes on the role of “handsome senior” Zach, and Natalie Sharp joins as B. Hartford, a champion rodeo rider. Jake Manley will portray bronc rider Wylder Holt, while Janet Kidder steps in as Joanne Wagner, Grace’s mom and a friend of Katherine’s.

My Life With The Walter Boys Season 2 Plot

Netflix released the official synopsis for season 2 in June, and we’re definitely in for more thoroughly entertaining drama. In the new season, Jackie returns to Colorado after her NYC summer and she’s “determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole.”

“Alex – who changed a lot over the summer – isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting),” per the synopsis. “Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways creep back in and cause drama.”

It continues, “As Jackie gains acceptance in Silver Falls while trying to hold onto her Howard identity, she’s forced to make a choice that could destroy everything she’s worked to rebuild.” Tea! August 28 can’t come soon enough.
