I have serious beef with the My Life With the Walter Boys writers. Like, you’re telling me I have to wait for a whole new season to find out what happened to the dad and where Jackie, Cole, and Alex stand after that explosive convo? I can’t express how desperately I wanted to press the “next episode” button… but it didn’t exist.
The experience of MLWTWB season 2 went by way too fast, probably because I made the choice to binge it in two days. Hey, it’s not my fault that the content is severely addictive! I live for a quality teen drama, and this one’s even better than The Summer I Turned Pretty. (A controversial, but objectively correct take.) All season, I prayed for a Jackie and Cole confessing-their-love-to-each-other moment, and we finally got there — only for it to be brutally cut off.
Naturally, all the tweens and I wanna know: When are we getting My Life With the Walter Boys season 3? I won’t rest until Jackie and Cole embrace their feelings and end up together. Here’s everything we know about the third season so far, including the release date, cast, and plot details.
Fantastic news: The series was renewed for a third season back in May, and they’ve already started filming! Season 3 production began in August and we can expect the new episodes in 2026. Love to see it.
While an official cast hasn’t been shared yet, Deadline already confirmed a bunch of returning stars. Obviously, our love triangle icons, Nikki Rodriguez (Jackie), Noah LaLonde (Cole), and Ashby Gentry (Alex), will all be back. And the other members of the Walter fam are also expected to reprise their roles: Sarah Rafferty (Katherine), Marc Blucas (George), Connor Stanhope (Danny), Johnny Link (Will), and Corey Fogelmanis (Nathan).

There’s also at least one new cast member, too! According to Deadline, Chad Rook (War for the Planet of the Apes) has a recurring guest role in season 3. No details about his character yet.
Season 3 will explore the aftermath of Alex overhearing Jackie confessing her love to Cole. “It was a pretty big revelation at the end of Season 2, and we can’t just ignore that,” showrunner, creator, and executive producer Melanie Halsall told Netflix’s Tudum. “She also can’t keep bouncing between two boys. How we tackle that will be a really interesting challenge, and I’m looking forward to that.”
“I don’t know how they’re going to recover from all of this trauma that’s just ensued,” Ashby Gentry, who plays Alex, said about season 3. “You want to talk about an elephant in the room, that’s a massive one.”

Beyond the love triangle drama, there’s plenty more we need from season 3: more Dylan and Kiley moments, updates on Danny and Nathan’s love lives, and of course, we’ll find out what happened to George. Thank heavens they already started filming.
