Ever since Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on September 16, 2024 on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, and transportation for purposes of prostitution, there’s been growing curiosity about his connections to other celebrities. (The rapper has denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty to the three felony counts.) As Diddy’s sex trafficking trial unfolds — it began on May 12, 2025 — people online are attempting to do their own detective work and identify who might be the rapper’s famous victims or accomplices.
One name that comes up a lot is Justin Bieber. Fans have repeatedly expressed concern that the singer may have been one of Diddy’s victims, but Justin’s never made accusations against Diddy (this has all just been social media rumors). That being said, Justin and Diddy became friendly when Justin first started out in the industry and they remained close for many years. Just a year and a half ago, they worked together on music. So, how exactly are Justin Bieber and Diddy connected? Was Justin a victim of the rapper?
Justin’s rep just shared a new statement, clarifying if the singer was a victim of Diddy.

Was Justin Bieber One Of Diddy’s Victims? His Rep’s Response
In a statement obtained by People, Justin’s rep shared: “Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him. Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”
After Diddy’s initial arrest in Sept 2024, a source told People that Bieber was focusing on his family after the birth of his son the month prior.
“He’s aware of Diddy’s arrest and all the allegations,” the insider said. “It’s not anything that he wants to focus on, though.”
How Are Justin Bieber And Diddy Connected?
Justin and Diddy go back about 15 years. When the “Baby” singer was a young teenager in 2008, he signed with Usher, who’s famously one of Diddy’s protégés. It wasn’t long before Justin and Diddy met and started hanging out, despite their 24-year age difference. In November 2009, 15-year-old Justin posted a video titled “JUSTIN BIEBER’s 48 HRS with DIDDY!!” on his YouTube channel. “You ever seen the movie 48 Hrs? Right now [Justin is] having 48 hours with Diddy, him and his boy,” Diddy says in the video, emphasizing, “what we’re doing we can’t really disclose.” The rapper called whatever he was doing with Justin “definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”
Diddy continued, “I have been given custody of him. You know, he’s signed to Usher, and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album… We’re gonna go full. Buck full crazy.” When he asked Justin what he wanted to do, the singer said, “Let’s just go get some girls,” and Diddy approved.
In 2011, Justin and Diddy appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! together, and Diddy said that they had “become friends in a strange way.” The rapper claimed, “We wanna protect [Justin] because he’s genuinely such a nice person besides his talents.” When Justin brought up Diddy getting him a Lamborghini on the show, Diddy clarified: “The Lamborghini for a day or two and he had access to the house. And he knows better than to be talking about the things that he does with big brother Puff on national television. Everything ain’t for everybody.” The secretive tone is pretty reminiscent of Justin’s 2009 YouTube video.
Diddy attended Justin’s 2015 and 2016 birthday parties, and in September 2023, they released their first collaboration. Diddy featured Justin in his album, The Love Album: Off The Grid. At the time, Justin posted an Instagram Story praising his longtime friend. “I remember going to my brother Diddy’s office to pitch him a song I wrote for him when I was like 14, sadly the song was trash haha,” he wrote. He explained that Diddy asked him to freestyle something for the album and called it a “full circle moment.”
There was a rumor that Justin attended one of Diddy’s “Freak Off“ parties where alleged sexual abuse occurred, but Justin never commented on that, and there’s no evidence to suggest it’s true.
Is Justin Bieber’s “Diddy Party” Song Real?
In April 2024, a “Justin Bieber” song called “Diddy Party” went viral on TikTok and Twitter. Social media users noticed that the lyrics seem to allude to the allegations against the music mogul: “Lost myself at a Diddy party, didn’t know that’s how it go / I was in it for a new Ferrari, but it cost me way more than my soul.”
However, experts say the song appears to have been created with AI. When CBS News used multiple AI audio detection tools, the results indicated that the song was likely AI-generated. Plus, there’s no record of Justin ever sharing or releasing it.
