I need everyone who has gifted us the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, from the cast to the production crew to the janitor who cleaned the office of the Hulu exec who gave the green light, to get a BIG raise RIGHT now. Utah is famous for the gold rush, but the real priceless gems are the nine Mormon members of an unhinged friend group who delivered another 10/10 season of secrets, lies, and yes, a lot of sisterhood. But back to the secrets slash lies, Layla ushered in a huge one in the final scenes of the season 2 finale that is pretty much all I can think about.
Layla really stepped her game up, all season long, especially when she voluntarily subjected herself to a one-on-one with Marciano from Vanderpump Villa to get the truth about what happened between him and Demi during the cast’s crossover episode in Italy. But the tea — pardon me, dirty soda — Marciano spilled had to do with a totally unexpected cast member I never saw coming. Did Jessi and Marciano have an affair? Here’s every nugget I could find about the wild cheating rumors.

According to Marciano’s (thirsty) guest appearance on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, he and Jessi (not Demi) engaged in a “full-blown affair,” not just a “one-night hook-up thing,” months after filming Vanderpump Villa. Layla’s reaction (“no… no… no…”) is right.
In episode 6 of the second season, Jessi shut down a spicy question during the truth box without missing a beat: “Were you really kissing Marciano at TomTom publicly?” Jessi explained that they all “had a friendship” after filming at the Villa, but if she was “going to cheat,” she wouldn’t be “dumb” enough to “do it publicly, since that can easily be found out.” What really happened, Jessi shared, is that she and a group “went out that night” at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants, TomTom and SUR. “A couple days later, there were rumors online that we were making out at TomTom,” Jessi said, that made her go “what?!” but still, she insisted, “No, that did not happen.” Demi agreed the “rumor mill” was “silly.”
Makes sense, right? Wrong, according to Marciano! During a totally casual chit-chat Layla arranged since she was “sick of Demi’s behavior lately,” Marciano had a totally different story to tell. He alleged that the makeout rumor was not only true, but they did “oh, more than that.”
When Marciano claimed he and Jessi had kept in touch following that night, Layla asked “to continue it?” meaning the affair, and Marciano confirmed. He also claimed Jessi’s husband Jordan has some knowledge of the affair, but not the full extent, as in everything they did, allegedly including sex. “Should I believe [Marciano] or is he just full of shit?” is a wonderful question I’m also asking myself right now, Layla.

Jessi released a statement in the form of a TikTok (obvs) where she sang the Ariana Grande lyrics “me and my truth, we sit in silence.” The caption of the video reads “I’ll speak when I can.” Though cryptic, it’s obvious Jessi has a different story to tell than the one that played out on camera.
Layla supported her castmate by reposting Jessi’s Instagram post to her Story, writing that she was “So proud” of Jessi for how “she’s handling all the noise.” Layla also cleared her name by reiterating that her meeting with Marciano “was the opposite of what she was expecting.” Layla “can’t wait for the truth to be shown.” I’m sorry, are we seriously supposed to wait until next fall to find out what really happened?!? I’m gonna need something stronger than ketamine to get through this.

LOL at Scheana starting a six-minute gossip session during her podcast about her friends by saying she didn’t “want to reveal too much.” Despite that caveat, Scheana went on to explain in great detail that Marciano was crashing with her and Brock in LA so they could all attend some influencer events together. (Marciano being a couch surfer is 0% surprising.) Jessi was also in town for the fun, and Scheana confirmed when they all met up that night at TomTom that Jessi and Marciano “were, however, all over each other, very, very flirty,” exactly as Marciano had described to Layla and apparently to Demi, too. According to Scheana’s sister, Courtney (who joined the group for an outing to a Giggly Squad taping), Maricano’s “hand was on [Jessi’s] thigh the entire show,” prompting Courtney to question “what’s going on” between them.
Scheana and the hosts conceded that Marciano is overly touchy with everyone (fun guy to have around, I’m sure), but with Scheana, she clarifies, it never crossed the line. Yet when Brock, Scheana, and Marciano were leaving Jessi’s hotel room late one night (after facetiming Jessi’s husband, Jordan), Marciano suddenly doubled back to Jessi’s room alone, so Brock questioned Scheana if she thought that “they got one in.”
Once Marciano, Brock, and Scheana got back home, Marciano told Scheana, “I think I’m gonna go back” to Jessi’s hotel, which made Brock “livid” because Jessi is “someone else’s wife.” (Scheana didn’t stop to note the irony of her man scolding others on ethical relationships.) Scheana did make Marciano message Jessi in front of her to confirm her marriage was flexible, to which Scheana claims she saw Jessi send an “affirmative” reply, so she let Marciano go.
The next morning, “at like 7 a.m.” Marciano alleged to Scheana, “the same way he says to Layla,” that things got steamy with Jessi. But later, when they were all together, Jessi told Scheana an “opposite” story — that “nothing happened,” and Marciano agreed. So what is the truth dot gif???? Scheana doesn’t know who to believe, and frankly, neither do I.
Is Jessi still with her husband Jordan?

Yes, Jessi and Jordan are still together, but she did tell The Viall Files that they are currently “working through things” following the season 2 rumors and trying their “best” despite things by “tricky” and “hard right now.” This makes sense given eagle-eyed fans have noticed on social media that Jessi hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring for some time now. Though Jessi was pretty tight lipped about exactly what is causing the rift with Jordan she did say “reality TV is hard on any relationship, whether it’s a friendship or a marriage.”
