How are you coping with the deteriorating state of society, and why is it watching The Valley on repeat until a sense of peace washes over you? Don’t get me wrong, season 2 of the Bravo spinoff is doing nothing but delivering copious amounts of chaos. But the silver lining of soaking in this parental shit show is remembering every few minutes that no matter what you have going on, at least your situation isn’t as messy as what’s going on with Jesse and Michelle Saniei Lally. During season 1, Jesse and Michelle were a mostly united, if not very dysfunctional, front. But now, mid-divorce, their gloves are off, and neither side is pulling punches. Which is, of course, the perfect time for them both to be in brand new relationships, duh!! But, as you’ll recall, Kristen claimed Michelle had already moved on during the marriage, and now Jesse is investigating if Doute’s receipts hold water. Did Michelle cheat on Jesse with her new boyfriend, Aaron? Here’s what I found.
Who did Kristen say Michelle was cheating with?
In season 1 of The Valley, Kristen alleged to the group that Michelle had “a fucking boyfriend for a year,” but didn’t say a specific name. At the same time, there were rumors (started by Jesse) that Michelle had a fling with a certain Hollywood movie director. In season 2, Jesse admits that Kristen “was right about almost everything” she was spilling to the group about Michelle and Jesse last year, so he is now questioning if she could also be right about the fact that Michelle had a secret man in the mix (and if her new boyf Aaron could be the same man).

Michelle shared on The Valley season 2 premiere that she met her “amazing” boyfriend Aaron “a couple of years ago” when they would “casually run into each other on a hike or a coffee shop.” She always felt a “very genuine person and heart,” which Michelle says was lacking with her ex (lol, bit of a red flag to glaze over, but I’m glad she’s on the right track now) but Michelle declared last season she never cheated on Jesse.
Michelle had previously told fans on “her first live ever” more about the “funny story”. Apparently, Michelle and Aaron are both walkers who like to hike up to the same coffee spot. Michelle and Jesse’s daughter, Isabella, saw Aaron first and waved at him from across a coffee shop. Michelle didn’t see this initial interaction, but when it happened a second time “days” or “weeks” later, she and Aaron got to chatting, found out they lived in the same neighborhood, and from there kept bumping into each other at Runyon Canyon, where they became casual friends.
A few months after her separation from Jesse, Aaron checked in on how Michelle was doing, and she spilled about the divorce. Aaron was coincidentally coming off of his own breakup, so he asked Michelle on a date, and the rest was history!
Now, this is a v cute, v harmless meet-cute anyone can get behind, right? Did this live make it crystal clear that she and Aaron hit it off only after her marriage was over? Ummm, well, not so sure, considering Michelle also answered a question asking why she looked “so checked out” from her marriage halfway through the season by explaining that by the time Jesse tried to “half-ass try” to fix things, he’d already neglected her needs for years, so it was too late.
But we’ll just have to wait for a few more receipts, timeline, proof, everything to come out to be sure, won’t we!
