Love is in the air on season 9 of Summer House! Or at least it was until Jesse Solomon and his toes sucked it out of the room. From the moment Lexi set foot in the Hamptons, Jesse Solomon showed what he would do, apparently, is send Lexi mixed signals. Jesse told Lexi she was hot — but ditzy. Jesse told the boys he wasn’t going to be single much longer after one day of knowing Lexi — but then complained about how she wouldn’t sleep with him until they were exclusive. Most confusing of all, Jesse flirted with Ciara all night long — but told Lexi he was thinking about her so much he had to jerk off to release the pressure???
It was an overshare worthy of giving a girl the ick into the next millennium, but, hey, at least Lexi thought it was cute. What Lexi didn’t find so charming was that Jesse got his toes sucked in a foursome with Imrul (a sentence I cannot believe is real) or, even worse, his shameless flirting with Ciara. Are Jesse and Lexi still together? I’m unpacking their Summer House drama to find out.
Jesse And Lexi’s Summer House Drama Explained
Are Jesse and Lexi still together?
No, Jesse and Lexi are finally broken up! Lexi cut him off for good during an awkies chat in episode 14 of Summer House’s ninth season. Okay, yes, we stan a Summer House girlie who stands on business when it comes to dudes giving them the runaround.
Jesse and Lexi were v hot and cold throughout the summer. Just weeks before, they had a tête-à-tête at Lexi’s apartment (where she seems cool, calm, and collected and Jesse seems guilty as sin). It looked like Lexi was going to dump him then, but Jesse managed to croon his way back into Lexi (and her family’s) good graces temporarily.

Before it was officially confirmed, Lexi’s social media behavior certainly hinted at the end of their relationship. Not only did Lexi crop Ciara and Jesse out of a cast photo, but she’s been getting sassy on TikTok, too. Go on, girl!

Lexi lip-synced to a sound from Euphoria where Maddie calls out Nate for lovebombing her. Guess Lexi finds that toxic behavior relatable. In another TikTok, Lexi addressed a commenter who was shocked that Jesse’s toe-sucking incident was shown by Bravo to last for 37 minutes (don’t worry, we’ll get there) with the caption, “You learn something new every day.” Between Lexi’s distaste for Jesse’s extracurriculars and his “real feelings” for Ciara only heating up in the midseason trailer, it doesn’t appear the two recovered from their huge fallout in episodes 11 and 12 where the women put all of Jesse’s flip-flopping on the table.
Why did Lexi and Jesse break up?

Lexi told Jesse that because of all of his lies (by omission and telling half-truths that painted Lexi in a certain light behind her back) she’d already lost trust for him before their relationship really began. Like how Jesse told the boys Lexi was clingy and jealous and co-dependent with her family, when Jesse was the one blowing up her phone for daily hangs, allegedly DMing with other girls, and partying all night with the Wood family crew.
Lexi realized she was over it when Jesse chose a 9 p.m. manicure over meeting her best friends and her “instinct” was immediately to doubt he was telling the truth. That’s not the same thing as having the ick, but honestly, with all the toe talk and “Wood” jokes an ick issue isn’t also out of the question.
Jesse added that Lexi — during a date prior to the breakup — had taken issue with Jesse’s make up with Ciara. But Lexi told the gang at the Freedom dinner she was getting whiplash because Jesse had dropped some serious complaints about “disliking” Ciara’s character, which put Lexi into “protective mode” for Jesse and West. Gonna need to see that chat on film, ASAP.
What happened between Jesse and Lexi on Summer House?
After Jesse and Lexi started dating from day one, things seemed to be going well, even though Jesse was telling everyone but Lexi he was worried about her jealous side and becoming exclusive so quickly. Pressured or not, Jesse asked Lexi to be exclusive over drinks in episode 8, and Lexi said yes, yippee!
The good times came to a crashing halt when Lexi found out Jesse had a big night the weekend before, when she was away. In episode 7, Jesse told Ciara he would have made a move on her the previous summer if West hadn’t “called dibs” first and told Amanda he liked any “red-blooded male,” and he’d be interested in dating Ciara if it had been on the table.
Just when Lexi was trying to get up from being hit with that news at the group kickball game, Lindsay also spilled that Jesse got his toes sucked, and Amanda later spills the beans about the Ciara situation.
In episode 12 of Summer House, Jesse’s shady, and yes, two-faced behavior finally came to light at the Bed Bugs slumber party. While Jesse argued that he was only venting to people that he thought were friends, the girls told him (or at least tried to tell him) that the issue with his venting was that it was a 180 from what he was telling Lexi. Like, you can’t whine that you’re worried about her being overly jealous because of IG stalking without also mentioning that you’ve dropped the L bomb.
He also said all of his gratuitous flirting with Ciara was a joke… someone get this guy into UCB classes. Actually, wait, please don’t.
After being called out by Lexi and the ladies, Jesse takes in the feedback and owns up to his mistakes complains to West that his “yellow flags” about Lexi must be true if she’s soooo upset about everyone talking about them. And then this man has the audacity to meet up with Lexi to beg for forgiveness and then talk shit about that on camera too.
Make it make sense, Jesse!
Did Jesse actually cheat on Lexi?
Summer House Toe Sucking Theories, Explained
After day-drinking at the pirate party, followed by an impromptu boys’ night out, Imrul brought two women home. Jesse decided to make their threesome a foursome by “barging in” to “check on them,” and he stayed in the room for thirty-seven minutes, as the editors so graciously documented. Unfortunately, the full sound of whatever went down in the room wasn’t shared, but the audio did include Jesse saying “soooo good” before exiting the room.
In his confessional, the producers also reminded Jesse that he had gone into the room with socks and shoes on yet had come out barefoot. Jesse told West about this harmless 37-minute-long toe-sucking session the next morning and reluctantly admitted it to the rest of the group during a debrief by the pool. But when Imrul wanted to chat it up about Jesse’s participation in episode 8, Jesse told the cameras he was annoyed at Imrul for bringing it up, thinking it would be “their thing.”
On the flip side, Imrul confessed it was weird how Jesse was acting like Imrul was the only guy in the room. Jesse continued to act defensive about the situation during his confessionals, declaring that if he had wanted to have a foursome, it wouldn’t be with Imrul of all people, which felt like a weird way to imply that would be an honor he saved for his BFF, West.
This whole thing is… interesting, to say the least. You could say that toe-sucking happens to be a very convenient activity to admit to, in that it’s just sexual enough to be believable but not bad enough to justify a breakup from a certain high-stands Canadian queen, perhaps? As Lexi pointed out after the kickball game, the toe-sucking was “strange,” but letting her find out from other people was even “more strange.” If it was all fun and games, why hide the truth? Whatever went down, I trust Lexi and her lipliner to get to the bottom of it.
Are Jesse and Lexi friends after Summer House?
Considering Lexi called Jesse a clout chaser thirsty for as much camera time as his buddy West, and called their situationship “the worst relationship” she’s ever had (with plenty of televised receipts of Jesse’s shit talking to back it up) yeah, hard no on staying friends, I fear.
