Another day, another wild rumor about the Biebers! Between the constant divorce speculation, the insane Instagram activity and Instagram comments, and now the reports about their financial situation, I can barely keep up with these two. I’m exhausted.
Amid whispers that Justin Bieber owes millions to his former manager, Scooter Braun, TMZ reported that the singer was just waiting for Hailey Bieber’s Rhode money to hit their bank account. (Back in May, the Rhode Founder sold her company to e.l.f. Beauty in a $1 billion deal.) Allegedly, Justin’s hefty debt is due to unpaid commissions and an advance that he still owes from canceling his Justice tour in 2022. Justin hasn’t toured in many years, and his new album, Swag, marks the first project he’s released since 2021. Earlier this year, he also announced that he’s no longer involved with his old clothing brand, Drew House.
So yeah, the singer’s wife appears to be the breadwinner at the moment. But is Hailey really paying off Justin’s reported debt with her Rhode money? Her rep just responded to that report with a clarifying statement.
Is Hailey Bieber Paying Justin Bieber’s Debt With Rhode Money? Her Response
Hailey’s Rep Reveals If She’s Paying Off Justin’s Debt
In a July 17 statement to the Daily Mail, Hailey’s rep said: “The historic sale of Rhode is a huge accomplishment for Hailey and is completely separate from her husband and his business affairs.” Sounds like she’s not paying his debt after all. (Perhaps Justin will pay it off with Swag merch and a Swag tour?)
When Hailey announced the major deal last May, she shared, “When I launched @rhode in 2022, I always had big dreams for the company, and the most important thing to me is to keep bringing rhode to more spaces, places, and faces globally.”
“So today I am so incredibly excited and proud to announce that we are partnering with e.l.f. Beauty as we step into this next chapter in the world of rhode,” she continued. “I feel invigorated, excited and more ready than ever to step into an even bigger role as Chief Creative Officer, and Head of Innovation of rhode as well as strategic advisor to e.l.f. Beauty.”
That same month, an independent audit revealed that Justin owes his former manager’s company, Hybe, $26 million for canceling the Justice tour. He also reportedly owes Scooter $11 million in commissions. That’s like 50 cents to Hailey now.
Justin recently opened up about his marriage on Swag and seemed to admit that he and Hailey have been going through a rough period. In “Daisies,” it sounds like he’s questioning the stability of their relationship: “Throwin’ petals like, ‘Do you love me or not? / Head is spinnin’, and it don’t know when to stop / You said ‘Forever,’ babe, did you mean it or not?” Justin also appears to reference the relationship in “Walking Away,” singing, “Girl, we better stop before we say some shit / We’ve been testing our patience / I think we better off if we just take a break / And remember what grace is.”
Manifesting at least one week of no new rumors about the Biebers <3.
