Conrad from The Summer I Turned Pretty might not have gotten the girl at the end of the show’s season 2, but you don’t have to worry about the actor who plays him. Christopher Briney, who plays Conrad on the hit Amazon Prime series, does not seem to grapple with romantic drama in real life the way his character does. While Conrad is in a love triangle with his brother Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and his childhood best friend Belly (Lola Tung) (don’t think too hard about how close it gets to incest), real-life Christopher has been a one-woman man for a while now.
Christopher has been with his girlfriend Isabel Machado since 2021, which, by young Hollywood standards, makes them practically married. Isabel has been by Christopher’s side since before The Summer I Turned Pretty premiered in 2022, and she seems to be a constant support to him. Isabel makes Christopher feel pretty, too. “When my girlfriend tells me I’m pretty, I think I feel pretty,” he told PEOPLE in 2023. Okay, good for you, Chris and Isabel, you feel pretty!

The couple started dating in 2021, and Christopher posted on his Instagram for their one-year anniversary in 2022, writing, “A whole year!? I could never want anything else.” He also posted on IG for Isabel’s 27th birthday in February 2025, writing, “my dear isabel turns 27 today 💓 thank you for always walking by my side, you make me the luckiest boy in the world.”
So basically, Christopher is the heart-eyes emoji brought to life when it comes to Isabel. Since they started dating soon after graduating college, she’s the only relationship he’s had since becoming a celeb. Who knows where life will take the couple next, but it’s nice to see so much love.
It’s especially nice given that’s not the case in Christopher’s fictional life. At the end of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2, Conrad was left pretty much heartbroken over Belly. Maybe in season 3 his love life will shape up to be just as romantic as Christopher’s in real life.
