Some of us have extremely unhealthy TV habits (such as binging an entire season in one sitting), so we’re already eagerly awaiting new episodes of Ginny & Georgia. Sure, I’m still processing that emotional roller coaster of a trial, Austin casually committing perjury, and the shocking revelation at the end of the finale, but I’m ready for more Wellsbury trauma ASAP. Lord knows there’s lots more messy fam drama, angsty teen turmoil, complicated love stories, and small-town secrets to unpack in the Ginny & Georgia-verse. And there’s nothing I love more than high-quality escapism!
Fortunately for me and my fellow stans of this series, the show was renewed for season 4 at the same time it was renewed for season 3, so we’re definitely getting more episodes… it’s simply a matter of when. So, when exactly will Ginny & Georgia season 4 hit our screens? Which stars are coming back? And what’s next for the ever-chaotic girlies? Here’s everything to know about the season 4 release date, cast, and plot.

When Is Ginny & Georgia Season 4 Coming To Netflix?

Okay, Netflix hasn’t announced a release date yet, but there is good news: The Ginny & Georgia writers got started on Season 4 back in February! On February 24, series creator Sarah Lampert posted a screenshot of the Zoom writers’ room on Instagram, captioning it, “First day of the Season 4 writer’s room!!! Based on today alone, Season 4 is going to be a RIDE.” Now, that’s what I like to hear.
The first three seasons have followed an every-other-year release pattern, but I’m holding out hope for a shorter wait this time — especially since seasons 3 and 4 were renewed together. Plus, they need to film the season before Diesel La Torraca (Austin) completely outgrows the role, so there’s extra motivation to move quickly.
Ginny & Georgia Season 4 Plot
Season 3, of course, ends with Georgia chugging milk from the jug, prompting Ginny to point out: “Mom, didn’t you say you drink milk when you’re pregnant?” The series creator confirmed to Us Weekly that Georgia is indeed pregnant, and it’s TBD whether the father is Mayor Paul or Joe. Messy, messy, messy. To make things even more complicated, Zion is still very much in the picture as a potential love interest. “Zion, Paul and Joe each bring something so unique, so specific and so nuanced to the table that they’re each able to really bring out a different side of Georgia,” Sarah explained.
Looking ahead, she told Tudum that season 4’s official theme is “Cycles and Origins.” Beyond the baby daddy mystery, fans can expect to meet Georgia’s chaotic extended family and explore more of her past. Not to mention, Georgia also has to work on herself and her relationship with her kids — Sarah noted that the trial and Austin’s lie is “the final straw that leads Georgia to finally want to go to therapy, to finally break the cycle.”
And what about Ginny? Well, her relationship with Austin is unfortunately damaged forever. She’s likely gonna spend season 3 navigating that, her lingering feelings for Marcus, and her more and more complicated relationship with Georgia. Antonia Gentry (who plays Ginny) thinks her character will be a ‘badass” in season 4. “She grew over the summer, and she’s ready to do whatever she needs to do to protect her family, because, like, screw everybody else,” she told Tudum. New season, new era.
Ginny & Georgia Season 4 Cast
Obviously, Brianne Howey, Antonia Gentry, and Diesel La Torraca will be back to play Georgia, Ginny, and Austin, respectively! And we can also expect our Georgia love interest kings to return: Nathan Mitchell as Zion, Scott Porter as Paul, and Raymond Ablack as Joe. It seems safe to assume that Felix Mallard and Sara Waisglass will reprise their roles as Marcus and Max, while Sabrina Grdevich will likely return as Cynthia. And I’m guessing we’ll see Katie Douglas back as Abby and Chelsea Clark as Norah to round out the friend group.
