Bridgerton season 3 is officially over, so excuse me while I go attempt to find another addictive smut show to fill up my free time. (Don’t judge me for watching four episodes in one sitting just ’cause you could never be as ambitious and productive.) Admittedly, I thought it was all downhill from season 2 because… well, that transcendent Kanthony chemistry broke world records and made me believe in love again. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this season. Polin’s love story is electrifying, Benedict finally gets to explore his sexuality, Francesa finds her dorky, quiet guy, and there’s some compelling friendship tensions with Eloise, Penelope, and Cressida. Plus, the Lady Whistledown reveal, of course!!
If you somehow haven’t finished the show yet and need answers to your burning Bridgerton questions, I got you. Let’s recap the drama-packed ending of season 3 part 2.
How Does Colin React To Penelope Being Lady Whistledown?
Sooo, after Colin follows Penelope and discovers her Lady Whistledown identity, he’s pretty pissed (understandably). They have a fight and there’s crying involved, but then Colin still insists on marrying her, because he has to be a gentleman or something. He’s very upset that Penelope complimented his travel writing because he thinks that she was making fun of him. Colin’s also not thrilled that she’s taking such a big risk and compromising her own safety.
Do Colin And Penelope End Up Together?
I was stressed for a second there, but yes!! Naturally, the fighting is a turn-on for these soulmates, and they end up kissing, making up, and getting married. However, things are kinda awkward when Penelope refuses to give up being Whistledown. After exchanging vows, she and Colin keep their distance and even sleep in different rooms for a while.
Penelope then reveals her big secret to the public and offers Colin a chance to get an annulment. He could never! He admits that he was just feeling a bit jealous and still loves her and wants to be with her. We get a glimpse of their future at the end — Polin has a baby son!
Is Benedict Queer?
It certainly seems that way, thank goodness. (About time for a queer storyline!) Benedict enjoys a threesome with his lady friend, Tilley Arnold, and her other casual fling, Paul Suarez. Tilley catches feelings for Benedict and wants to seriously date him and only him. But he has other plans. Benedict chooses his “freedom” over a serious relationship, and I’m sure we’ll get to see more of his exploration journey in upcoming seasons.
What Happens With Eloise And Cressida?
After Cressida pretends to be Lady Whistledown, Eloise is done with her and regrets their friendship. Sadly for Cressida, she faces the consequences of her actions and is sent to live with her Aunt Joanna.
Eloise and Penelope make peace, but they’re not exactly BFFs again, because Eloise still feels betrayed and hurt. When Francesca shares that she’s moving to Scotland for her mans, Eloise decides to join her sis. Please give me the Eloise season ASAP, Netflix and Bridgerton Gods.
