Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa are still going strong, I fear. The transatlantic lovebirds famously met on season 24 of Celebrity Big Brother UK, started an on-camera flirtationship, and have since developed their so-called “close friendship” into quite the serious romance. Like, Chris is literally in the Siwa fam group chat. The Love Island alum and the “Karma” singer have received plenty of backlash, partly because JoJo was still dating Australian influencer Kath Ebbs when she was making googly eyes at Chris on CBB, and partly because of the age gap of it all. (Chris is 32, and JoJo’s 22.)
Still, none of the criticisms are stopping these two. They went Insta official back in May with romantic photo dumps, and they can’t stop gushing about each other in interviews. Most recently, Chris even hinted that there might be wedding bells in their future, and JoJo seems to be on the same page. So, uh, did I miss a chapter? Are Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa engaged now? Let’s break down Chris’s new quote about marrying her.
During a July 12 interview with The Sun‘s Fabulous Magazine, Chris dished on the “magical feeling” JoJo gives him. Sigh. Apparently he tells her he loves her every day. “I can’t explain it, but it’s a safe love,” the reality star told the outlet. “It’s like a natural high.”
And yes, he definitely sees them exchanging vows one day. “I’d love to marry her,” Chris added. “I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I run through scenarios of our wedding day … We’d have a proper English wedding and I can imagine her in a full wedding dress.” I’m, like, trying to picture this, but I can only ever picture her in the iconic “Karma” bodysuit, black makeup, spiked hair, and combat boots.

Chris also noted that they both want kids, so prepare yourself for little Chris x JoJo nepo babies taking over the internet in the future. “We come from loving families,” he said. “My mum loves her. She’s my best friend. I love that she’s the person I have to do nothing with and still have the best time. That’s everything to me.” So, I guess he’s on board with JoJo’s kid names, Freddie, Eddy, and Teddy? JK, JoJo recently told Capital Buzz she’s changed her mind about those names. “I was a bad girl, did some bad things and that includes naming children,” she said. I giggled.
“We were meant to cross paths … We keep saying to each other it was serendipity,” Chris told Fabulous. “Life handed me a blessing in my lap.” He emphasized, “I’m obsessed with her. I’d do anything for her.” For now, they have a long distance relationship and he’s writing her love letters.
Back in June, JoJo also seemed open to the idea of marrying Chris during an interview with TMZ. “He’s my favorite person and I’m very grateful and very happy,” she said. When asked if she had “any thoughts” about marrying the Love Island star, she replied, “So many thoughts.”
Although they don’t seem to be engaged just yet, I will not be shocked if we get that announcement soon.
