Whoa! Ariana Biermann Accused Her Mom Kim Zolciak Of "Taking" Her Money On 'Next Gen NYC'

You know, I had a feeling Next Gen NYC would at least be good for a giggle or two with Brooks Marks and Riley Burruss being silly on screen, but I did not expect the Housewives spawn to pop off so hard in the very first episode. And for that, I have to give credit to Ariana Biermann, who came to class prepared with piping hot tea about her famous mom, the artist formerly known as Kim Zolciak-Biermann. Wig has been knee-deep in a messy divorce from her former LOHL, Kroy Biermann, since the summer of 2024, and since then, her family’s alleged money problems have been exposed to the world under a microscope. In the Next Gen premiere, Ariana Biermann alleges Kim Zolciak and Kroy “took her money,” and I’ve been obsessively Googling Kim’s name ever since.

What did Ariana Biermann allege her mom, Kim Zolciak, did with Ariana’s money?

As Ariana explains in her Next Gen NYC confessional, “Unfortunately, my parents took my money,” referring to the substantial earnings she had been generating as a child influencer from around 2016 (“I got my first brand deal when I was 14,” Ariana said) until around 2023. When she sees Kim Zolciak spending money on expensive things, like a $200 bottle of wine that Kim might post on Instagram, both Ariana and her boyfriend, Hudson, have to question, “Why are you doing that?” since Hudson gets “upset” how often Kim allegedly calls Ariana for money.

“I can’t say exactly what they used [the money] on because I just found out that it was gone two years ago,” Ariana continued. In 2023, it was reported that Ariana’s childhood home (the mansion Kim famously bought while she was starring on the Bravo series RHOA and later was featured on Don’t Be Tardy) almost went into foreclosure, according to records from Fulton County. Kim and her ex-husband Kroy allegedly defaulted on the $1.65 million loan they had used to buy the house nearly ten years prior, in 2012.

A source told People that Kim and Kroy “took action” in 2023 to stop the bank from foreclosing on the home. Still, it would take multiple foreclosure threats and plans to publicly auction the home before Kim and Kroy finally sold the seven-bedroom, eleven-bathroom Georgia mansion for 2.75 million dollars in 2025 (even though it was originally listed for six). Ariana tells Hudson that she wishes her parents didn’t keep her in the dark about how “there was nothing left, our house was about to be gone,” and whatever they had to do to survive during this time.

“I don’t even know how much money I made over the time period. Nobody was honest; there was no transparency. And I have no idea where it actually went,” Ariana shared in her confessional. But even though she doesn’t have a hard number, Ariana did say she got “paid astronomical [sic] to do a Story or to do an Instagram post,” and so over that period of time, she “made quite a bit of money.”

Ariana alleges that her mom, Kim, still asks for money so much because she’s going through “this crazy divorce” as “a mother to four kids,” so Ariana wants to help them with things like paying the AC bill or supporting her younger siblings KJ, Kash, Kaia, and Kane. Kim filed for divorce from Kroy in May 2024, and after a brief stint of giving it another go, Kroy filed for divorce again in August (yikes). Since their separation, Kroy has made many allegations about Kim’s spending, like that she allegedly spent $600K on designer clothes from 2016 to 2023. As first reported by TMZ, Kroy also claimed that Kim spent over $161,000 in 2021 and $65,000 in 2022 on the lottery and Bitcoin.

Kim has infamously been hocking various things for cash online for some time now, including Ariana’s childhood bedroom furniture for $10,000, her and her oldest daughter Brielle’s designer bags, and even Kroy’s clothing. In 2024, American Express sued Kim Zolciak for unpaid credit card bills, and a judgment of over $200K was awarded to the credit card company (that Kim has allegedly yet to pay back and could face wage garnishment for in 2025). The lawsuit is the latest of many Kim faces for owing money to Bank of America, Capital One, Target, Simmons Bank, and more.

On Next Gen NYC, Hudson communicates with Ariana that he believes she needs to stop giving her mom such unlimited money every month because Kim has “already taken everything [Ariana] has.” According to Hudson and Ariana’s conversation, Ariana is sending her mom “pure cash” through Zelle, so they have no proof that the money is being used to support Ariana’s younger siblings.
