Relationship Update, Bestie: Are Jen And Zac From SLOMW Still Together?

Hear ye, hear ye: We are gathered here today to assess the current status of Jen and Zac Affleck’s relationship as we enter season two of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

They were easily one of the most chaotic couples of season one — which is saying something, considering the premiere featured Taylor Frankie Paul getting arrested for being drunk and disorderly toward her then-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

A lot went down. And when the season ended, Jen and Zac were very much not on the same page. Between emotional meltdowns, med school drama, and a Vegas-male-stripper-level incident, the Afflecks delivered nonstop drama.

Let’s recap their wild ride — including one very unexpected pregnancy announcement.

Incoming: spoilers from season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives!!

Meet The Afflecks (No, Not Those)

Quick catch-up for those of you with functioning screen-time limits: Jen and Zac met on the Mormon dating app Mutual in 2018. By early 2019, they were engaged and married later that year. They welcomed their daughter, Nora, in November 2021, and their son, Lucas, followed a little over a year later.

Things seemed picture-perfect — until they very much weren’t.

Tensions were already simmering. Jen was the breadwinner (love that for her), Zac wasn’t vibing with MomTok, and Jen felt judged by his family — who weirdly insisted they were related to the actual Afflecks. Zac wanted to move for med school, but Jen was struggling to let go of her Utah community.

Then came the Chippendales moment that broke the internet — and maybe their marriage.

On a Vegas night out, Jen and her MomTok girlies went to Chippendales (surprise!). Jen told Zac. He lost it. We’re talking rage texts. And let’s not forget: she literally gave him gambling money to enjoy himself while she was out.

Post Chippendales

Fans first noticed trouble when Jen was ringless in an Oct. 9, 2024 TikTok. Things escalated when her Mormon Wives co-star Mikayla Matthews posted a Reel hinting Jen had split from Zac.

In it, Jen lip-synched to an audio, saying, “I don’t even know where we left off,” with Mikayla and Mayci responding, “You were still in a relationship.” The audio responded with Jen mouthing, “I was? Damn.” Cue: pure chaos in the comments.

Then season 2 hit our screens and we got the answers we had been waiting for all along.

“As for my relationship with Zac, it’s been a few months of straight hell since Vegas. Currently, we are separated. I never thought I would get to this point. I’ve decided to come back to Utah and be back with MomTok,” she replied when a producer asked about their situation.

Zac showed up to her house with flowers and a weak game plan. Jen made it clear she needed time and space: “I was pretty firm about us being separated so I can figure out what I need and what’s best for our relationship.”

“It’s hard because a couple months ago, Zac and I were committed to going to New York for med school, but then Zac got accepted to Arizona. We ended up moving to Arizona. Things for Zac and I continued to be pretty rocky.”

Get The Man To Therapy

Zac did the bare minimum: expressed regret and said Vegas broke them. He admitted he’d messed up, said he wanted to change, and even applied to leave med school to show he was serious about rebuilding their relationship.

Jen, however, wasn’t here for half-hearted gestures: “For me to want to fight for our marriage, I need to feel like he’s putting my feelings before his.”

She also shared that the whole “man is the most important in a marriage” narrative from their faith wasn’t working for her anymore.

Zac said he agreed and was ready to be more authentic. “I’m not currently going to church,” he revealed. “And I’m hoping moving forward we can be a little more ourselves.” Apparently he’s doing therapy…ketamine therapy.

Zac And MomTok

Still, Zac hadn’t exactly made peace with MomTok. He held a grudge against creator Jessi Ngatikaura, blamed her for the fallout, and resented how his texts got out.

At a Halloween party, he felt like he and Jen were the punchline again—and let his feelings fly.

“I am frustrated because I feel like I’m having to stick up and defend our family, and it’s making me look like the bad guy. When these are your friends, like if my friends were doing these kind of things to us, I would confront them, before I would drop them,” Zac tells his wife.

Jen got emotional. Zac got mad. Then he lashed out at the camera crew and tried to bounce: “I’m not gonna have this switched back on me again because of your crazy-ass friends.” Yikes.

Plot Twist: Baby No.3

As if things weren’t messy enough: Jen realized she might be pregnant.

“So I am stressed out of my mind with the thought of me being pregnant,” she admits. “Because Zac and I aren’t on the best of terms. And I think the last thing we need is another baby.”

And spoiler — it was positive. In a confessional, Jen explains, “I’m just scared because I’m not the person I want to be before bringing in another child.”

“I’m sad for this child because I don’t even know where my marriage is at,” she adds. “And so, I think, in this moment, I’ve kind of come to my breaking point.”

In February 2025, Jen and Zac announced the pregnancy. Fans were… confused. And shocked. And slightly exhausted.

Full Circle (Sort of?)

In what felt like an attempt to prove they were healing, Jen—heavily pregnant—returned to Chippendales. This time, Zac went with her. She danced in the audience. They were even invited backstage to hang out with the shirtless, oiled-up men who started it all.

So… are they together? Kinda. Sorta. It’s complicated.

But if one thing’s clear, it’s that SLOMW is the realest (and most chaotic) thing on MomTok right now—and we’re not looking away anytime soon.
