If you’ve been glued to Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives like the rest of us, you know that Jen Affleck (who we found out actually has no relationship to JLo’s Ben Affleck) has been riding an emotional rollercoaster this season. Between girls’ trips to Vegas, striptease shows, and her husband Zac Affleck’s feelings about it all, let’s just say she’s not having the best time. But here’s the kicker — rumors are swirling that Jen might be stepping away from MomTok (the TikTok community that launched the Hulu show) for good, and spoiler alert: Zac might have something to do with it. So what’s going on?
Is Jennifer Affleck Leaving MomTok?

If you’ve been living under a rock, let me catch you up. In The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Jen has been facing some serious side-eye from her MomTok crew, especially after that wild Vegas trip where she dropped by a Chippendales show (and no, it wasn’t for research purposes). But they weren’t concerned about her attending, they were concerned about her leaving the show early. And why did she do that? Zac wasn’t exactly thrilled about his wife catching a glimpse of some male entertainers, and tensions hit a breaking point when he threatened divorce over it.
Jen, however, stood her ground, explaining that it wasn’t about the strippers, but about Zac being worried about how their church — and millions of viewers — would react. According to her, Zac’s panic was less about her and more about how they’d be portrayed on the show. But seriously, aren’t we all just tuning in for the juicy bits?
“If we were at a bachelorette party and we’re just celebrating, it wouldn’t have been a big deal,” Jen told Today. “But because we’re representing our church, and he knew that millions of people were going to see that, [he was] scared that they would put me in a tough situation with filming and that they would portray me in a different light that I’m not.”
Uh, that’s not what his texts looked like but whatever.
Fast forward to the season finale, and it looks like Zac’s got more feelings — this time about MomTok itself. Rumor has it, he’s not vibing with Jen’s influencer gig, and word on the street is, she might actually quit the group because of him. Jessi Ngatikaura, another MomTok mom, spilled the tea that Jen is considering stepping away from the squad due to Zac’s influence. In typical fashion, men ruin everything.
“Jen told me that she’s leaving MomTok because of Zac,” Jessi said in the season finale. “He doesn’t want her associated with us. I am really sad that this is just a continuous pattern that’s not getting better.”
And in case you’re wondering how Jen’s feeling about Zac’s decision to pursue med school in NYC, she’s not thrilled. She even mentioned to Zac that leaving Utah would hold her back from business opportunities with MomTok — because yeah, she’s the breadwinner in this relationship. Zac’s response? “They’re not that significant,” he argued. “I don’t think you’re going to be missing out. I honestly don’t.”
Jennifer And Zac Affleck Sell Utah Home

As if things couldn’t get more complicated, Jen and Zac are making big moves — literally. The couple recently sold their Utah home, sparking rumors that they’re gearing up for a fresh start, maybe even somewhere away from the MomTok spotlight. But, of course, the real question is: will Jen actually ditch the crew?
While Zac’s influence is definitely looming large, Jen’s not completely giving up on her MomTok dreams. She’s said in interviews that being on the show has actually made her and Zac stronger. And, plot twist: Zac apparently does support her business, even if the show makes him look like the ultimate villain.
Jen made it clear on Nick Viall’s podcast (I know, eyeroll) that Zac’s all in for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. “My husband still supports the show, believe it or not,” she told host Nick Viall. “He was in on the show for a reason. He saw it as a way to monetize and grow my business so you see the villain side of Zac, but he’s very supportive and wants me to do it.”
So yeah, even though he’s coming off as the bad guy right now, it sounds like there’s more to the story. Maybe we’ll be getting another season of the Afflecks’ drama-filled lives after all.
So, is Jen Affleck leaving MomTok? Honestly, the jury’s still out. But if we’ve learned anything from this season, it’s that the drama isn’t going anywhere. And as long as there’s drama, we’ll be watching — whether Zac likes it or not.
