Buckle up, podcast lovers, there’s some Alix-on-Alex crime you probably need to hear about. Call Her Daddy host and Unwell Podcast Network creator Alex Cooper has been perpetually in the press for basically all of 2024. To be fair, Alex keeps managing to pin down some wildly impressive guests. Everyone from Love Island USA’s cutest villains, to Justin Bieber’s baby mama, to former Vice President (unfortunately, not current President) Kamala Harris, cleared time on their busy schedule to chit chat with Alex Cooper.
Another memorable guest in Cooper World? TikTok’s favorite hot mess, Alix Earle, who joined the network in September 2023 after announcing the partnership on Call Her Daddy. Yes, the Miami student who went viral for preserving her birthday dress in all of its vomit-covered glory, earned herself a podcast to share her stories of party rocking. But chronically-online detectives familiar with the fan base have been speculating that things were not all butterflies and roses between the blondes throughout the partnership.
Are Alex Cooper and Alix Earle feuding? Here’s the evidence of the rumored drama now that Alix’s podcast, Hot Mess, has been officially dropped by the Unwell Network.
Alex Cooper And Alix Earle Beef Explained
Did Alix Earle quit Unwell?

Alix Earle’s podcast is being released from Alex Cooper’s podcast network, Unwell, according to reporting by Variety. Alix with an I is now free to manage her own pod since SiriusXM has renounced all rights and stopped sponsoring the Earle sisters’ weekly chitchat. There are currently no deets on how the decision came to be (AKA who initiated the business breakup), but if Alex is a woman of her word, she should sit down for an hour-long interview of herself to spill the beans in full any day now.
With Alix’s Unwell contract coming to a premature end, it makes sense that fans noticed that Alix had been distancing herself from the brand. In fact, this TikToker low-key predicted Alix would jump ship from day one, so maybe someone should give her an award or something.
Why do people think Alix Earle and Alex Cooper are fighting?
There is a lot of (very) circumstantial evidence pointing to an estrangement between Alix Earle and her podcast boss Alex Cooper. Firstly, Alix hasn’t been attending Unwell podcast network publicity events for a while, including skipping an Unwell party in New Orleans for the Super Bowl, even though the Miami girl was in town for the game. On the other hand, fans have noticed that Unwell’s socials have been promoting Alix Earle less than they used to, and Alex Cooper has been singing a diff influencer’s praises (Hallie Batchelder) quite loudly lately instead.
On the juicier side, Alix had her dad on her show for a December 4, 2024, episode titled “Family, Finances & Football.” TJ Earle manages the careers of his daughters Alix and Ashtin, and during the episode, Alix mentioned TJ is good at having “hard conversations with people” throughout “every deal” when they don’t realize Alix’s full potential or what “she needs to be doing.” He also mentioned a recent incident where he had to handle some drama for his daughter without involving her and described the incident as “a business situation, but it was also something else.” He elaborated that he “wasn’t happy about it” and “still isn’t,” meaning the unpleasant situation was ongoing at the time of recording… could he have been hinting at a certain big job Alix took with a certain name-brand podcast network?? Ashtin saying “teaaaa” after TJ finished the story feels like more than just a coincidence.
Reddit also clocked that the very same week that Alix Earle promoted her interview with Grace O’Malley, Alex Cooper announced she’d be hosting Brianna Chickenfry (in the midst of Grace and Bri’s major beef). Both sides are prime entertainment for the gossip girls out there, but the back-to-back promo feels like an awkward choice.
What is Alix Earle’s Hot Mess podcast deal?

Both Alix E. and Alex C. seemed super excited when they initially shared they’d be collaborating on curating Alix’s Gen Z chaos for the world in August 2023. However, from the very beginning, some of Alix’s fans wondered if this was the best deal for the GRWM girlie. Alix Earle already had a massive following, one that probably included most of Alex Cooper’s fans already. Yet, by producing Hot Mess, CHD Alex was securing a presumably satisfactory chunk of Alix Earle’s pod revenue.
Fans and non-fans alike also speculate that Alix Earle may not love podcasting as a weekly gig anymore outside of specifically doing it under Alex Cooper’s label. TBF, keeping up 30-plus minutes of compelling audio storytelling about your life is a lot different than oversharing TikTok. Whether it was the deal terms, working differences, or the job itself, it seems that Alix and Alex (say that five times fast) committed to a deal that didn’t have the legs to last.
