It will probably come as no surprise that Adam Brody and Leighton Meester have been on my dream celebrity couple mood board since they quietly got married all the way back in 2014. There’s something so wholesome about the way they move in silence that so many of their more chaotic peers can’t seem to manage (though we appreciate A-listers’ messy romantic endeavors nonetheless). Besides the fact that they’re obviously meant to be together IRL (a couple that runs errands together stays together), I can’t help but suspect that Seth Cohen would’ve been the man Blair Waldorf always needed. Like, if there’s anyone who is the opposite of the privileged demon that was Blair’s twin flame Chuck Bass, it would be Sandy Cohen’s adorable curly-headed son.
Because of Adam’s recent role as the hot rabbi in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, Leighton and Adam made a rare appearance on the Golden Globes red carpet together this year. And that obviously had me wondering about their kids and family life. There’s something so pleasantly normal about Leighton, Adam, and their family that makes them goals, and for that, we salute them. Here’s a look at Leighton Meester and Adam Brody’s kids today.
Arlo is Leighton and Adam’s first child, born on August 4, 2015. The couple was private about their daughter’s birth at the time and have not publicly shared photos of their daughter since, though they have been spotted strolling together as a family by paparazzi and fans. Since her birth, Leighton has shared how “lucky” she feels to have “the hardest job in the world” as a mom. She’s learned that moms have to “let your child struggle a little, let them fall down at the playground” as “it’s the way they’re going to learn.” In 2020, Adam talked to The Wallstreet Journal about spending a lot of quality time with then-5-year-old Arlo who loves to play games like Go Fish, Monopoly, and musical activities like the piano and karaoke.

After being photographed while pregnant in the spring of 2020, Adam and Leighton welcome their second child in October of 2020. They have not shared the name of their son. Adam did speak about the unexpected benefits of the 2020 pandemic causing the world to quarantine at the time of his wife’s pregnancy. Brody told People Magazine, “For us, luckily in this time in our lives, this moment in our lives, this family growing by one has definitely had…it’s had its benefits, for sure.” Though he described the experience as “pretty magical” he also recognized how fortunate his family was to have the “security” and “flexibility” from their jobs as actors. Their son is now four years old.
