It was a very exciting Mother’s Day for Amber Heard, who welcomed twins, Agnes and Ocean, over the weekend. On Sunday, she shared an adorable photo of her babies’ feet and included a sentimental caption to celebrate the major news. “Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget,” the Aquaman actress wrote. “This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years.” She added that Agnes and Ocean are keeping her “hands (and [her] heart) full” at the moment.
Amber also shared that her world “changed forever” when she welcomed her first child, Oonagh Paige Heard, in 2021. “Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life,” she reflected. The actress notably didn’t mention any details about the baby’s father in her announcement post.
So, who’s the father of Amber Heard’s twins? (And why are there rumors that it’s Elon Musk??) Here’s everything we know about the babies’ paternity.
Amber Heard Baby Father: Elon Musk Rumors, Explained
Who Is Amber Heard’s Baby Daddy?
Amber hasn’t revealed the identity of her twins’ father, and it’s unknown whether or not she’s dating anyone right now. The actress was last linked to filmmaker Bianca Butti when they were seen sharing a kiss during a Palm Springs vacation together in 2020.
Before Bianca, Amber was linked to Elon Musk (hence those baby daddy rumors), art dealer Vito Schnabel, and director Andrés Muschietti. (Of course, she was also married to Johnny Depp from 2015 to 2016, and we all know how that relationship ended.)
All of these romances/flings were several years ago. Unless one of the male exes recently re-entered Amber’s life and we just didn’t hear about it, none of them are the father of her twins. Since her complicated legal battle with Johnny ended in 2022, Amber’s enjoyed a more private life in Madrid, Spain; it’s not surprising that she’s not sharing every detail about her personal life and kids.
Did Amber Heard Use A Surrogate For Her Twins?
It’s unclear whether or not Amber used a surrogate for her twins, but she did welcome her daughter, Oonagh, via surrogate a few years ago. In her July 2021 Instagram post about Oonagh, Amber wrote that she wanted to have a child on her “own terms.” She explained, “I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.”
Wishing Amber and her new babies all the best!
