WTF Happened Between Walton Goggins And Aimee Lou Wood? Unpacking The Feud Rumors

Those of us who are cultured (chronically online) have seen countless tweets about rumored drama between White Lotus season 3 costars Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood. On the show, they of course played age-gap, star-crossed lovers Rick and Chelsea… May those fictional icons rest in peace. But fans are starting to think Walton and Aimee’s off-camera journey was quite dramatic as well. There’s been suspicious Instagram activity, strange interview moments, and even hints at drama from other cast members. Jason Isaacs recently claimed, “What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand.” And yeah, that’s not gonna suffice for me! I’m launching an investigation: WTF happened between Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood? Why did they unfollow each other? Are they feuding? Here’s what we know about this drama so far.

Okay, so, Walton and Aimee currently do not follow each other on Instagram, but they do follow their other White Lotus costars. (Aimee follows literally everyone else and Walton seems to follow most of the cast, but not her, Parker Posey, or Jason Isaacs.) The fact that the costars don’t follow each other hasn’t stopped Walton from posting about Aimee and their characters several times recently.

Following the finale, Walton shared an 18-slide Instagram Story featuring photos of him and Aimee set to Fleetwood Mac’s “Silver Springs.” Ya know, the song where the chorus goes: “Time cast a spell on you, but you won’t forget me / I know I could have loved you / But you would not let me.” Uh huh. And it gets weirder… Aimee included that SAME song in her own Instagram post after the finale. Walton also posted a White Lotus photo dump on the grid with photos of himself and other cast members — and everyone is tagged except Aimee! There’s no denying that’s pretty odd.

Plus, the way Walton talks about Aimee in interviews is honestly wild. “We became very close very quickly,” he told People. “She was the person that mattered the most to me during this experience … We both became enmeshed in each other the way that Rick and Chelsea are.” ‘Scuse me? Yes, that was him comparing their real-life relationship to their characters… who are in love.

While chatting with Vogue, Aimee shared a similar sentiment. “I think we all became a little accidentally method,” she explained. “It wasn’t even on purpose. It’s just that there was no escape … I think I was accidentally method.” Maybe they got so into their characters that the romance bled into real life a bit? IDK. But Walton is married, so that’d be very messy.

Interestingly, Timmy Ratliff (Jason Isaacs) did reveal that there was drama during filming. During an interview with Vulture, he dished: “Some people got very close, there were friendships that were made and friendships that were lost … There’s an off-screen White Lotus as well, with fewer deaths but just as much drama.” Ope!

When asked about those comments during a New York Times interview, Jason emphasized that the experience “wasn’t entirely blissful” and that the cast was not “one great big homogenous happy family.” He added, “I’m not going to break ranks and say who did what to whom, but it certainly wasn’t a holiday.” Sir, you can’t just say that and not spill the tea!

So, I need a White Lotus season 3 behind-the-scenes docuseries, stat.
