I've Been Eating This Viral Trader Joe's Snack For Breakfast, Lunch, And Dinner

Trust me, I know that real cults are totally bad news. But silly little cults, like the cult of Trader Joe’s, are the ones I’ll go to the grave following. Why does every little thing that grocery store produces taste like it was baked by the hands of God himself?? If Olive Garden’s motto is “When you’re here, you’re family,” then TJ’s should be “When you leave here, you will be happy.”

2025 has been off to a rocky start. To put it plainly, shit has gotten bleak as fuck. But that’s why the little things matter so much, and thankfully, Chef Joe has come out with another addictive banger. The new Trader Joe’s Caesar salad dip has gone viral, and for good reason. It’s such a simple concept (the taste of a Caesar salad condensed into a dip) that it’s hard to believe they hadn’t thought of it already! But just like the rest of the eccentric flavor concoctions (Everything But The Bagel dip, Perfectly Pickled Pups, Cacio E Pepe Puffs, to name a few) this Caesar salad dip uses simplicity to make your tastebuds tap dance.

I think it’s obvious I’m a fan, but nonetheless, here’s my honest review and recipes for the Trader Joes Caesar salad dip.

Is The Trader Joe’s Caesar salad dip good?

Yes, this dip is high-key delicious. The flavor is the perfect balance of slight brine, mild salt and heavy herb that makes their dressing great, translated into spread form. Trader Joe’s lists the ingredients as “Caesar-y seasoned sour cream, mayo, anchovy paste, and Parmesan cheese, as well as finely shredded Romaine lettuce to give every bite some crisp, leafy contrast.” The fact that actual salad is included in the Caesar salad dip is what makes the flavor profile so robust and unique.

I’ve seen some questionable feedback online about the texture, so I’ll get super specific here. This dip is not the super thick formula that a chip can stand up in all on its own, like for FritoLay’s sour cream & onion. It’s a much lighter texture, closer to their famous caramelized onion dip.

Nutrition-wise, the dip is a demure 80 calories per serving, has a decent level of sodium, and has zero added sugars. You know what?? Hell yeah.

I was turned onto this classic combo by TikTok (so glad she’s back). This is a savory lover’s dream. Just think of the major crunch.

Caesar Salad Breakfast Muffins

As someone who clocks in on the early side, a quick but yummy breakfast I’ll actually want to finish is a must. That’s why I spread a little dip on two toasted english muffins and top with over-easy eggs, tomatoes, avocado, and bacon for a meal that will hold me over until lunch.

Caesar Salad Red Pepper Dolma Wrap

Listen, some people are a freak in the sheets, I’m a freak in the kitchen. Grab the largest wrap of your choice and lather it up with a fine layer of Caesar salad dip and a few strips of their red roasted peppers. On top, place about 4 of the TJ’s canned dolma in the middle of the wrap, and voila, Dolma burrito. If your palate can’t match my freak, replace the dolma with the dill pickle falafel bites, scaredy cat.

Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad

There are so many variations of this magical combo, but here’s the base: pasta (I recommend the red lentil or the pappardelle pasta nests), chicken prepared any style, garlic and broccoli. From there, there are a million fire add-ons you could elevate your bowl with: pitted green olives, avocado, tomato, chickpeas, roasted diced eggplant, arugula, corn, salami, feta cheese, cucumber, the list goes on and on. After everything is nice and chilled, whip it up with some salad dip.
