Lucy gets a brand new love interest in season 2 of Tell Me Lies (thank the lord), and I may or may not be in love with Thomas Doherty, the actor who plays him. Thomas joined the cast this season to portray Leo, a student at Baird College who recently got back from studying abroad in Paris. Leo’s rizz is kind of off the charts and would work on me in approximately three to four seconds. I’m praying to the TV gods that Lucy has a long and happy relationship with him that pisses off Stephen. That man needs to face a consequence. At least one. Please.
I assume I’m not the only one giggling at Leo’s cute banter and gazing at the actor’s literally perfect face, so… obviously, I did a deep dive of Thomas Doherty’s dating history to share with the class.

Thomas had a famous public relationship with Disney alum and “Boyfriend” singer Dove Cameron, despite the fact that I am in love with her. Not very considerate of him. Thomas and Dove first hit it off while working on Descendants 2 back in 2016, and they shared pieces of their relationship via social media and interviews over the years. “She is just the most incredible person I’ve ever met,” Thomas told Entertainment Tonight in October 2019. “I think people see her as so talented — because obviously that’s her job, to perform and all the rest of it — but she’s the most compassionate and the most patient and the most genuine, loving person I’ve ever met.” Weird… it sounds like he’s describing me.
After four years of dating, the former costars broke up in October 2020 and remained amicable. “I personally believe we have many soulmates in this life, but I don’t think that somebody stops being a soulmate when you break up,” Dove reflected to ET in June 2021. “I will love him differently now.” She also called Thomas one of her “favorite people in the world.”

In March 2021, Thomas moved on with Dutch fashion model Yasmin Wijnaldum. At the time, they were spotted looking cozy during a New York City dinner date. Soon enough, Thomas and Yasmin went public with their romance and began sharing couple photos on Instagram and posing for photos together at events. In a July 2022 Insta post for Yasmin’s birthday, Thomas called her “my favorite human, the most beautifully strange, wise, loving human.”
Unclear. He might still be with Yasmin, but they haven’t posted on the grid together since August 2023. Also, he currently follows her on Instagram, but she does not follow him back. Hmmm. The Raya girlies will just have to let us know if they see him on the app!
