Welp, we’re all gonna have to find a new show featuring a love triangle and dangerous amounts of yearning, because The Summer I Turned Pretty has officially come to an end. Belly’s a grown woman now and she’s finally, finally become a genuinely interesting person with goals and passions (the power of Paris, I guess). And don’t worry: she’s chosen a Fisher brother too. About damn time.

The finale episode ties up Belly’s ~whirlwind~love life and gives us a glimpse into what’s next for Taylor, Steven, Jeremiah, and Denise. There are some pretty major career and romance updates in the mix…. like, I wouldn’t mind a spinoff series.

Season 3 dragged on for what felt like years and years, but I’m relieved we finally an answer to the most urgent pop culture question of our time: Does Belly end up with Conrad, Jeremiah, or the hot new guy, Benito? Here’s a full recap of The Summer I Turned Pretty finale.

As we learned in the penultimate episode, Conrad stalks Belly all the way to Paris. The finale episode opens with him literally showing up at her door, and when she’s not there, he waits until she gets back. There’s a very dramatic rom-com moment of her showing off her new bob and him admiring it.

Belly agrees to hang out with Conrad for the day until he heads to Brussels for his conference. They do some touristy shit and eventually wind up on a random rooftop that Belly loves. Naturally, she ends up inviting him to her birthday dinner that night.

We get important tea during that dinner: Apparently, Belly turned down Benito’s offer to go to Mexico, and they broke up. (Conrad’s just devastated to hear that news.) Conrad gives Belly a vial of beach sand from Cousins for her birthday and she kisses him on the cheek to thank him.

A love story in Paris wouldn’t be complete without the Seine, so that’s where Belly and Conrad go! They share a kiss by the river before going back to her apartment to hook up. Conrad tells her he loves her, and Belly freaks out. “What if you only loved me because that’s what your mom wanted?” she asks. “I have tried everything not to love you,” he replies. “The way that I feel about you has nothing to do with my mom.” Conrad leaves to catch his train to Brussels, a tear running down his cheek.

But Belly realizes she’s fucked up, and she chases after him, wearing that iconic infinity necklace he gave her forever ago. “I choose you of my own free will,” she says. “There are infinite worlds. Every one of me chooses you in every one of them.” And thus, Belly does end up with Conrad. At the end of the episode, we see them walking into the beach house hand-in-hand.

Do Jeremiah And Denise End Up Together?

In the finale, Jeremiah’s suddenly a famous TikTok chef in Boston and Denise is helping him prepare for some important, fancy dinner. (He’s still living in her spare room after six months.) When the venue for the dinner falls through, they decide to have the party at the Cousins house.

The friends-to-lovers moment happens when Denise and Jeremiah are chatting in the kitchen. He whines about Conrad being the more impressive brother and Denise groans, “You’re obsessed with him. And I don’t know why! You’re a fucking 10.” When Jeremiah looks surprised, she adds, “Please don’t pretend that you don’t know that you’re gorgeous. You’re basically a model.” That comment leads to a steamy kitchen counter makeout.

As Jeremiah’s dinner starts, he and Denise hold hands under the table. Maybe they’ll have a long-distance relationship?

Do Taylor And Steven End Up Together?

Taylor’s really pissed at Steven when she discovers that he and Denise are moving to San Franciso after getting seed funding for their new venture. She just moved to Boston for him!

But during Jeremiah’s dinner, they work things out. Steven admits that he didn’t tell Taylor about the move at first because he wasn’t sure if they were ready for that next step. “Living with you and being with you, that’s my dream too,” he tells her. Steven emphasizes that he doesn’t want her to give up anything for him.

Taylor decides that she wants to move to San Francisco with him and keep pursuing PR there. Long live #Staylor!
