I know, I know — the SAG Awards don’t exactly have the same allure of the Oscars, Grammys, or VMAs. They don’t feature jaw-dropping statement performances or end in quite as many controversies and outraged headlines. However, those of us who are *truly devoted* to our favorite actors were sat for the broadcast last night, which was more full A-listers than TikTokers, thank goodness. Listen. If Billie Eilish, Zendaya, Emily Blunt, and Taraji P. Henson are there, I’m there. Not to mention, Jennifer Aniston presented Barbra Streisand with the Life Achievement Award. I shed several tears… and so did Anne Hathaway.
There was really something for everyone at this year’s SAGs. I celebrated movies and TV shows like Barbie and The Crown, while men were rooting for The Last of Us and Oppenheimer. Jo Koy was not the host, which was a crowd-pleaser. And of course, for the fashion lovers, there were plenty of highlights to obsess over and lowlights to make fun of in the group chat.
The 2024 award show season has been kind of meh for fashion so far, and the SAGs continued the mixed bag trend. Until I finally get my moment with the Glambot and am named best dressed, I’ll keep using nonexistent expertise to judge celebrities’ red carpet outfits. I give you: the best and worst dressed celebs at the SAG Awards, purely based on my opinion.
Best And Worst Dressed Celebs At The 2024 SAG Awards
Emma Stone – Best
Emma dazzled in a metallic beaded gown with hints of purple and a gorge blue hem. Her dress was just the right amount of eye-catching, and she looked elegant and stunning. My queen!
Cara Jade Myers – Worst
She’s beautiful, but I’m just not an excessive fringe girl, personally. Between that, the loud color combo, and the slanted hemline, there’s just a little too much going on here.
Ariana Greenblatt – Best
Ariana slayed in this strapless velvet gown. It’s giving timeless, sophisticated Barbie.
Ali Wong – Worst
I mean… I can appreciate a statement fit. That’s always better than boring. However, the tentacles (??) are not really doing it for me.
Tyler James Williams – Best
I’m kind of obsessed with this shimmery, monochromatic suit. The cool blue color is flattering on Tyler, and the sheer top adds the perfect dash of spice.
Laverne Cox – Worst
Here, we have another too-busy situation. I’m not a fan of the asymmetrical coat combined with the full-neck jewelry. Maybe this is a case of just removing a few things?
Anne Hathaway – Best
Anne looked literally flawless in cerulean blue — an iconic reference to Devil Wears Prada. I love the belt, the top part, the jewelry… just perfection.
Margot Robbie – Worst
Miss Barbie has had so many stunning, memorable pink looks recently… but this is not one of them. It just looks like a blanket attached to a black minidress, I’m sorry.
