“Fuck yes to summer, fuck no to bathing suit shopping” seems to be the recurring thought in my mind as the weather starts getting warmer. The current “cool girl” swim brands charge what seems to be a lot for a tiny strip of fabric that rides up my ass, and that’s simply not reasonable for most people. So, while it’s of course always better to buy from more ethical brands vs. fast fashion, not everyone can afford to buy those pricier pieces—especially when it comes to, as I said, one single strip of fabric. Here’s a list of swimsuits that cost $100 and under from fast fashion brands, more sustainable brands, and everything in between.
Carve Designs
If you’re one of those sporty girls that I never related to, this bikini is probs the one for you. Carve Designs makes 100% of their swimsuits from recycled plastic water bottles and was founded by two sisters who, while on a surf trip, realized how hard it was to find board shorts made for women. They decided to make some themselves, and so their brand was born.
Summersalt
Thank you, Summersalt, for creating a one-piece that doesn’t smoosh down my boobs. Not only that, but Summersalt is also committed to sustainability, as well as working to ensure we get the best price possible by removing the middleman. Sign me up.
SXA Swim + Active
This swimsuit looks like it could flatter anyone, which makes sense, since this brand is all about designing with comfort and luxury in mind. We also love this brand because a portion of their profits go to Black Women’s Agenda, an organization devoted to securing and protecting the rights of Black women.
Lively
Lively makes bras, undies, loungewear, swimwear, and activewear; aka “Leisurée.” That word is 100% a part of my vocabulary now. Also, love that Lively actually bundles their bikini tops and bottoms *together* to help us save money.
Kitty and Vibe
You might have seen this brand on TikTok because their stuff is so cute and their vibe (no pun intended) is so positive. Kitty and Vibe is the first brand to make bikini bottoms using two butt size metrics, meaning you never have to deal with that dreaded dumpy diaper look or the equally annoying wedgie. (The bikinis do run just over $100, though.) And they make one pieces, too! They offer inclusive sizing, with many of the suits ranging from S-5XL.
Pink Lilly
Pink Lilly definitely gives off basic betch vibes, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking their bathing suits are super cute and super affordable. Like, I’ve bought two bellinis at brunch in NYC that cost more than one of these things.
IconSwim
If you’re into a sexier look/that single-strip-of-fabric vibe I spoke about earlier, this is the brand for you. Their bathing suits are extremely affordable—like I don’t really want to know how/where they are made—but very trendy and perfect for a thirst trap (even though your ex totally isn’t worth it, sweetie).
Good American
I’ve only heard amazing things about Good American swim. They have so many fun different colors and flattering styles, and for some reason, buying from Good American makes me feel better than buying from Skims. Almost like I’m supporting a small business? But not at all.
Alpine Butterfly Swim
Alpine Butterfly Swim is a plus-size luxury swimwear line designed and founded in Venice Beach, California. They have some of the most unique and fun swim styles out there. While they’re definitely on the pricier side, you can always find some good stuff in their sale section, like this Overalls One-Piece.
Abercrombie & Fitch
Full disclosure, I do work for Abercrombie. But I know how much everyone loves their Curve Love denim, so I felt like everyone should know they have Curve Love swim, too. They also have super cute cover up options that may or may not also be in my cart right now.
Andie Swim
Andie Swim is all about stylish staples that look and fit great. Their ethos is “comfortable looks good on you,” and I’m never one to say no to a compliment. 😍 But seriously, don’t underestimate how much better a bikini feels if it’s actually comfortable. Thx, Andie.
Faithfull The Brand
This brand is available on Amazon and Shopbop, so you can trust that it’s not going to be child sized when it finally arrives. Right? This one is cute while still being appropriate enough to wear on a family beach day (thank you, high waist), and the top could also pass for a crop top. Multifunctional, am I right?
Windsor
Amalfi Coast vibes for less than the price of an overweight baggage fee? Sign me up. The print will look so cute in all your summer thirst traps Instagrams.

The grass is always greener on the other side, and this can feel particularly true when it comes to body shape, and even more so when it’s time to shop for bathing suits. As a girl with DD boobs (I hate even saying that out loud, but that’s a deeper issue/for another article), bathing suit shopping is forever a gamble. I envy my friends who can have fun shopping online for bikinis made out of, like, one single string attached to one small piece of fabric without a damn care in the world. Meanwhile, I have to spend hours in a myriad of dressing rooms trying on multiple different styles of bikini tops and then taking pictures of my boobs at all angles to make sure they look perky and fabulous, and not saggy and unwieldy. Well, the taking pictures part might not be totally necessary but whatever. It’s a PROCESS, and in my humble opinion, a sport.
That is why I am so happy to have found the following swimwear brands that are keeping me, you, and our huge tits in mind when designing their suits. Just because we’re in quarantine doesn’t mean we can’t tan—so move over, joggers! I’m ready to irresponsibly spend my money on supportive bikinis made for boobs like mine.
Raq Apparel
Raq Apparel makes “swimwear that actually supports fuller busted women,” according to their website. They offer two style options for tops: the “multi-way” which looks like your standard triangle bikini top, just more supportive; as well as the “underwire crop” which is fuller coverage and looks more like a sports bra but not as ugly. I like that they only offer two bikini top options because I feel less overwhelmed that way, and it means they must have mastered these two styles specifically for those with racks like mine.
Alpine Butterfly
Alpine Butterfly St. Valentine Top
This brand offers plus-size bikinis, so they know how to dress a betch with curves. They have plenty of different style options, with my personal favorites being the Naomi top, the St. Valentine top, and the Marseilles one piece. They also have super cute cover-ups if, like me, you’re anxious to find the perfect thing to wear when traveling from the kitchen to your backyard—#suburbanquarantinelyfe amirite?!
Aerie
Of course, we all love Aerie and their body inclusivity campaigns, but I am here to say that not only do they talk the talk, but they also walk the walk. They sell strapless bikinis that are still able to make my boobs look perky. I repeat, strapless bikinis that make my DD boobs look perky! My fellow full-chested women know that this is as rare of a find as a blonde on IG not complaining about her roots growing in during quarantine. The price at Aerie is also *chef’s kiss.*
Shady Lady
I’m kind of obsessed with all of Shady Lady’s bathing suits. They offer cool patterns and the styles are also super trendy. The Kenya receives the most positive feedback from full-chested girls because of its padding and double lined fabric. Plus, the suit comes in snake, leopard, and cheetah print. Also, I must note how cute their cover-ups are and that they can all totally be worn day-to-day, too! Well maybe not the mesh/see-through ones. You aren’t Em Rata.
Lilly and Lime
Lilly and Lime Fleurs Rose Halter Tri
Lilly & Lime’s “big breast swimwear and bikinis are for women with a larger bust.” Need I say more? They lay their different bikini-style options out here, and their different one-piece style options out here. This way, you can really get a feel for which bathing suit might be best for you. The styles overall aren’t anything crazy trendy, so shop at Lilly & Lime if you’re looking for that simple, go-to bathing suit that won’t scare your middle-aged neighbors away when you’re outside making TikToks.
Red Carter
Not all of Red Carter’s bathing suits are DD-friendly (lol you think I can afford to lose one strap??), but some of them are. The Rachael top really sucks those babies in, and the Bridgette top offers full-enough coverage so that you don’t feel inappropriate/like you’re doing something wrong by wearing something literally every other person on the planet wears, but that still shows enough so you don’t feel like a maiden woman.
Monday Swimwear
Monday Swimwear is all about offering the perfect fit for every body type. And, all of the models on their website have big boobs, which I appreciate. Even better is that their fabrics are made from recycled nylon and PET bottles. So, not only will your boobs be supported, but the Earth will be, too. I can’t tell if that was an amazing or awful joke. Moving on.
Bleu Rod Beattie
Bleu Rod Beattie Shirred Bandeau D Cup Top
This brand has a special “D cup” shopping section under “tops” because they understand how special we are. The styles are pretty simple, yet still chic, and, of course, supportive. I feel like I could definitely take a run on the beach or, if it’s a crazy day, play volleyball in the shirred bandeau top without having a nip slip, though I am not that kind of girl and therefore will never really know.
Swimsuits For All
GabiFresh x Swimsuits for All Zephyr Wrap Underwire High Waist Bikini
This brand doesn’t even offer swimsuits in sizes below a 4, which is pretty great as I need way bigger than a size 4 for these boobs. They have so many different styles, and I can trust that every single option will work for my body type. They also offer tankinis and swim dresses if you’re going to, like, a Zoom family reunion slash pool party and want to be modest? Or actually, maybe just don’t buy a tankini or swim dress.

Unlike most people, I actually enjoy swimsuit shopping. It gets me excited just daydreaming about the possibility of being somewhere other than my couch—namely, somewhere warm with a marg in hand. Ugh, remember being outside? Those were the days. Plus, I’m pretty sure that online shopping is a form of therapy, and that by buying swimsuits, I’m willing summer into existence. Yeah, I read The Secret and I’m putting this out in the universe. If nothing else, there’s always summer 2021, I guess. Anyway, these are the swimsuit trends we would have seen all over the beach this summer, but now will probably just be seeing all over TikTok.
1. Tangerine
Maaji Orangesicle Ellen Triangle Bikini Top, $69 & Orangesicle Sublime Reversible Bikini Bottom, $60
Lovers + Friends Wiles One Piece, $128
PilyQ Papaya Reef Tube Bandeau Bikini Top, $88 & Papaya Reef Hipster Bottom, $76
Somewhat surprisingly, orange or more formally, tangerine, is the trending color for swim 2020. Now, I’m pretty sure orange is one of the hardest colors to pull off, especially when it comes to a swimsuit. If you’re naturally pale and survive off of self-tanner *raises hand*, then this trend might be a risky choice. But, the good news is, if you decide to embrace the trend anyway then at least you won’t have to worry about your spray tan ruining your suit. Small wins.
2. Covered-Up
Free People Oracle One Piece Swimsuit, $187
Public Desire Bandage Underwire Bikini Top, $24
L*Space Prism Bikini Top, $72 & Frenchi Bitsy Bikini Bottom, $55
Ironically enough, just as thong bikini bottoms have become a thing, so have ultra covered-up swimsuits. You know that weird swim shirt your mom used to make you wear at the beach so you wouldn’t get sunburned while boogie boarding all day? Yeah, that once dorky surf shirt has been now deemed chic by fashion bloggers. Figures, right? It’s now cool right now to wear a high neck swimsuit, swimsuits with long sleeves, and even swimsuits that could pass as actual crop tops.
3. Animal Print
Vitamin A Vinca Neutra Blue Snake Bralette Bikini Top, $110 & Hipster Bikini Bottom, $96
Wolf & Whistle Curve Wrap Bikini Top, $38 & High Waist Bikini Bottom, $26
Boys + Arrows Animalistic Animal Don’t Trip Bikini Top, $98 & Animal Kiki Bikini Bottom, $106
Obviously, animal print has been trending for months now, so it’s no shocker that it’s made its way into swimsuits. From snake print to cheetah print, it’s all trending. To wear the trend yourself in the least basic way possible, I’d recommend trying an animal print in a colored variety, such as the blue snake print one above.
4. Ruching
ASOS DESIGN Ruched Tie Side High Swimsuit, $13.50
Frankies Bikinis Dreamy Bikini Top, $84 & Sadie Bikini Bottom, $79
lovewave Sedona Top, $88 & Sedona Bottom, $80
Ruching can elevate an otherwise basic swimsuit with an added trendy, feminine detail. But don’t just take my word for it—the black one from Frankies Bikinis is a current Revolve best seller. So, needless to say, I expect to see it on all of our favorite former Bachelor contestants.
5. High Waist
Kitty and Vibe Underwire Top, $50 & High Hip Bottoms, $45
Chelsea28 Easy Retro Bikini Top, $22.05 & High Waist Swim Bottoms, $13.50
L*Space Stone Tie Dye Beach Wave Bikini Top, $92 & Tie Dye Hi Waist Bikini Bottom, $99
Every guy’s least favorite swim trend, high waist bottoms, is back. And honestly, screw them anyway. Speaking for myself, I won’t mind the extra coverage, considering I’ve been mostly sitting on my couch for the past six weeks. I like the way a lot of high-waisted bottoms now have high-leg cutouts, though, because it balances out this otherwise conservative silhouette.
It’s kind of crazy how swimsuit trends have become a thing. Like, I remember simpler days when you just ordered whichever swimsuit off of Victoria’s Secret that your mom deemed appropriate enough. And now, here I am blowing an entire paycheck on several swimsuits in the name of fashion! Whatever, fortunately it’s a sacrifice I’m all too happy to make.

Shopping for bathing suits is the absolute f*cking worst. Especially when you’re shopping for spring break. Attempting to stay on trend but still be comfortable, wondering why some store’s sizing is so f*cked, trying not to break the bank for something you may never wear again after that week—it’s a lot. What’s with swimsuits suddenly costing an entire semester’s tuition??? Oh wait, that’s just for the top. If you want bottoms too you’ll have to give up buying your books this semester. All reasons why I usually end up waiting until the last possible minute to find a swimsuit and get stuck with whatever piece of fabric I can find that fits.
Thankfully, I’ve learned from my mistakes and know that right now is probably the best time to shop for swimwear, and to make sure that I find a suit that doesn’t force me to give up my weekly Thirsty Thursday margs. Here are eight different swimsuits that are all under $50 and aren’t ugly af.
Aerie Strappy Back One Piece, $31.46
Tbh, you can’t go wrong with a classic one-piece. Aerie’s swimsuits always have a flattering fit AND they have an option for long sizes for those of us with long torsos. The struggle is real. IYKYK. This suit will give you all the comfort of a standard one-piece suit with the bonus of a strappy back that gives it a chic touch.
ZAFUL Scalloped High-Waisted Bikini, $29.99
Leave it to Amazon to come in clutch for literally everything. I cannot even begin to express my admiration for high-waisted bikinis and their ability to hide the absurd amount of tacos I eat before I go swimming. This ZAFUL suit will be flattering on an array of body types (just make sure you check the sizing and read the reviews before you order). I find high-waisted bikinis give you the same ~security~ as a one-piece suit with the convenience of a two-piece.
ASOS Twist-Front Cut-Out Polka Dot Swimsuit, $45
If you’re an indecisive betch like me and can’t choose between a one-piece and a bikini, welcome to the perfect combo: the monokini. This piece comes in both tall and fuller-bust sizing, making it more versatile than some other styles. I know, I know, monokinis have a bad rep for the ridiculous tan lines they leave behind, but this piece is so sleek and cute. And if you think about it, the cutouts are no different than if you were to wear a dress in a similar style, so just embrace it. I love this suit because it indulges my inability to make any choices for myself (something Pilot Pete and I have in common)!
Cupshe One-Shoulder Reversible Bikini, $24.99
I’m sorry, did you say a REVERSIBLE bikini? As in two bikinis for the price of one?? Please just take my money, I literally could not ask for more.
H&M Push-Up Triangle Bikini Top, $19.99 & Bottom, $12.99
This one gives off tropical vibes so you’ll actually feel like you’re going somewhere exotic, even if you’re actually just chilling at the public pool in your hometown because you and your friends didn’t have your sh*t together enough to plan a trip for spring break. This suit comes in a variety of colors and patterns, but tops and bottoms are sold separately. Thankfully the full suit will only cost you about $35!
XhilarationWomen’s Ribbed Cut Out Tie Front Bralette Bikini Top, $14.99 & Ribbed Cheeky Bikini Bottom, $14.99
According to my sources (aka Google), texture is a big trend for swim this year. So if you’re planning on going on The Bachelor one day and want your feed to give off fashion influencer vibes, this ribbed bikini is the perfect choice. Like the piece from H&M, the top and bottom are sold separately, and the full suit will cost about $30.
Swimsuits for All Beach String Bikini, $19.98
Not only is this bikini on MAJOR sale, but you also get to mix and match the sizes of the top and bottom. It’s also really cute and tropical, so you should probably snatch it up before it’s gone.
ZAFUL Cross-Back High-Cut Swimsuit, $13.99
This one-piece is also on super sale and comes in a few different colors. The thing I really love about it is the tie-around waist. I imagine it’ll make me feel like Shakira dancing with that rope during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. And isn’t that kind of what we’re all going for, at the end of the day?
You don’t need to drain your bank account for a fire swimsuit you’ll actually want to bring on your spring break trip. Just use the critical thinking skills you’ve been neglecting to apply in class all semester. Now you can use all the money you saved on what really matters during spring break: dangerous amounts of alcohol and 3am trips to McDonald’s.

I know it might seem crazy to be thinking about swimsuits when it’s *checks weather* below 30 degrees outside, but if you’re smart, you know that the best time to buy swimsuits is precisely during this time of year. Is it just me, or have swimsuits just casually out of nowhere become the same price as a month’s worth of rent? Okay, that’s an exaggeration but seriously, they’re like $100—for just the bikini top! I miss the days when I could get a full bikini (top and bottom) for like, $30. Fortunately, you can still get a full swimsuit now during the off-season for the price of what just the top would cost during the summer. It pays to think ahead. Of course, it’s a bit of a treasure hunt and sizes are limited, so I’ve done the hard work for you and found 10 different options that still have decent size runs available. However, I can’t make any guarantees if you don’t act fast!
1. L*Space ‘Lay it on the Line’ Bikini
L*Space ‘Lay it on the Line’ Gemma Bikini Top, $92 $49.97 & French Hi Waist Bottom, $99 $54.97
I personally own this bikini so I can vouch for it. And mind you, I did not purchase it on sale, so I paid almost double what you’ll pay if you order it now. (It’s fine, I’m fine.) The bikini is super cute, very flattering, and holds everything in. If you wanted to like, do water sports or something, you easily could jump around in this one without risking a wardrobe malfunction. But also, if you just want to lay on the beach and tan, it’s great for that too.
2. LPA ‘Annabel’ Bikini
LPA ‘Annabel’ Top, $98 $38 & High Waist Bottom, $88 $22
Like most of you out there who enjoy a personal pie slice of pizza from time to time, I love a high-waisted bikini bottom. Unlike the first bikini which has a more sporty vibe, this one is more feminine, so you’re welcome for the justification for ordering both.
3. ASOS DESIGN Gathered Bikini
ASOS DESIGN Gathered Bandeau Bikini Top, $26 $15.50 & Bikini Bottom, $19 $11
How cute is this lime bikini?! I mean, it’d be a lot cuter if the model wasn’t wearing that scary chain necklace and giant neon hoops. But, if you can get those out of your head for a minute then you’ll see it’s a pretty damn cute bikini. Plus, the color will make you look tan.
4. Onia x WeWoreWhat One Piece
Onia x WeWoreWhat ‘Capri’ One Piece, $195 $97.50
This one piece is very Insta-blogger chic. Which makes sense considering it’s from Danielle Bernstein of WeWoreWhat’s line of swimsuits in collaboration with Onia (don’t worry, this one has actually been released, so you’re good). All you need now is a pair of white retro cat-eye sunglasses and maybe a an influencer trip to Tulum and you’re all set!
5. Solid & Striped Gingham Bikini
Solid & Striped Eloise Top, $84 $51 & Eloise Bottom, $84, $51
This bikini is feminine and cute in a Hamptons-chic way, with its subtle baby pink gingham print and off-the-shoulder top. It’s also on the more conservative side, so like, you could wear it on a family vacation without your dad side-eyeing you the whole time.
6. ACK Embellished Bikini
ACK Amore Eyelet-embellished Bikini, $186, $55.80
This bikini is very retro pin-up girl with some edge—it’s very Taylor Swift circa the Reputation tour vibes. And you know, Taylor Swift feuding with the Wests is the exact kind of bad bitch energy I plan to bring to my relaxing beach day…doesn’t everyone???
7. Zimmerman Floral Bikini
Zimmermann Honour Ruched Floral Bikini, $270, $108
One way to feel bougie on your trashy spring break trip is to wear a designer bikini. And this one is normally almost $300, but is on sale for $108! It’s a feminine floral bikini but like, with cool-girl florals. There’s a difference—if you’ve ever seen a tacky floral print, then you know what I’m talking about.
8. Cow Bikini Set
Howdy There Cow Bikini Set, $45 $22.50
Apparently cow print swimwear is a trend, and I don’t hate it. If we’re being honest here, I’m actually into it. But at the same time I’m not going to go spend $200+ on a cow hide bikini (does anyone know if it can even get wet?) Whatever, this one from Nasty Gal is super cute and for $22.50, I’m sold.
9. Floral Cut-Out Swimsuit
Just Wanna Have Sun Floral Cut-Out Swimsuit, $45, $22.50
This one piece looks way more expensive than it actually is, which is a quality I sure do love in my clothing. The cut-outs, florals, and subtle ruffle make it girly but cool. Plus, it’s a great one piece for someone who wants to get in on the one piece trend but doesn’t want to look like a grade schooler on her way to swim practice in her best Speedo.
10. Textured Buckle Strap Bikini
Textured Buckle Strap Bikini Top, $19.99 & Bikini Bottom, $14.99
So this isn’t technically on sale, but it’s so inexpensive it could be. This bikini actually looks like something you’d buy on Shopbop but nope, you can buy this one right along with your weekly milk and eggs at good ol’ Target. Now excuse me while I block out four hours to shop there.
As you can see, you don’t have to spend a ton of money on your swimsuits if you just shop smarter. Now all you need is a tropical vacation in the near future so you can put these to use.

When it’s your bachelorette weekend, you obvi want to wear as much white as possible, whenever possible. So, of course you want your beach/pool party wardrobe to be white too. And, look, I am aware that in some less fortunate parts of the country, it’s not currently pool or beach weather right now. But that’s why you get on the trend of making all your friends fly to the warm destination of your choosing. (We already have fully planned-out bachelorette party guides to Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Tulum, and Scottsdale among others, for this exact purpose, just saying.) You officially don’t have an excuse! So stock up on one or all of these white swimsuits and get ready to tell everyone within earshot that it’s your weekend because you’re the f*cking bride.
1. Tularosa Bavaro Top and Bavaro Bottom
This suit is cool, trendy, and, of course, bachelorette-worthy. The pale pink and silver metallic band gives it a sporty edge that’s still super feminine and chic. Basically, this is the swimsuit you’ll wear to the Encore pool party in Vegas so you can still fit in with all the young single college girls. No one will ever know which one of is over 30 while you all twerk to Diplo. That is, until they play a Lil Xan song and you have no clue who the f*ck Lil Xan is. Honestly, you don’t even need to know, don’t worry about it.
2. Norma Kamali Stud Marissa One Piece
I’ve been obsessed with this swimsuit FOREVER. What better time to wear it (and allow yourself to splurge for it) then for your bachelorette party weekend? Although it’s expensive, it’s essential for your bachelorette weekend. In fact, please get it and wear it for me so I can just live vicariously through you, okay?
3. For Love & Lemons Elle Lace Bandeau and Elle Hi Waist Bottom
For Love & Lemons makes the most stunning unique feminine pieces, and their swim collection is no exception. Like, how cute is this two piece suit? It screams bride, which is the vibe you’re obvi going for on your bachelorette weekend. Again, it’s pricey but like, you only get to be the bride once! Well, fingers crossed.
4. ASOS DESIGN Plunge Swimsuit With Pocket Belt
Okay, this suit is straight genius, especially for the bride-to-be on her bachelorette weekend. The silhouette of the suit is hot af, and it has a trendy belt that’s ideal for holding your cards and ID while you flail around drunk at the club pool. It looks like it’s just a stylish swimsuit version of the fanny pack trend but, in reality, is your all around lifesaver. Save yourself the embarrassment of losing all your sh*t, and get this suit, because you’re going to need it.
5. Lace Halter Bikini Top and Lace Banded Teeny Bikini Bottoms
This bikini is so freaking cute, and the lace detail gives it the perf touch of bridal feel. It’s girly, sexy, and so fitting for your bachelorette weekend. It’s hot without being totally over-the-top, so go ahead and overcompensate with your tacky bride-to-be sash. No, I’m not condoning it, but I’m sure you’re just itching for me to give you the okay. So, out of the kindness of my heart, I’ll give you this one-day-only pass to wear it. I repeat, one day only.
6. Nightcap Gidget One-Piece Swimsuit
This gorgeous one piece is guaranteed to be supes flattering with its pipeline details and ruffle accents. It can also be worn as a halter or a strapless, so when you’re living your best life on the dance floor you don’t have to worry about a potential nip slip. But, for when you’re just lounging by the pool, you can convert it to a strapless suit in order to prevent any unnecessary tan lines.
7. Onia x We Wore What Ravello Bikini Top and Delilah Bikini Bottoms
This retro eyelet bikini is to die for. The sleeves make the top unique and flattering and, since it’s from Danielle Bernstein of We Wore What’s collab with Onia, you know it’s fashionable af. And what better time to be the most fashionable girl in the friend group than on your bachelorette weekend, right???
8. BEACH RIOT x V. Chapman Violet Bikini Top and Lily Bikini Bottom
Okay, this one might be my favorite swimsuit option on the list. It’s fun, flirty, and lacy, complete with ruffles and all, making it the epitome of the perfect bachelorette bikini. It like, legit looks like someone cut up an actual wedding dress but like, in a cute way.
9. Gigi C Bikinis Neriah Top and Neriah Bottom
This bandeau top has a detachable choker and off the shoulder silhouette, so it’s v on-trend. I’m all about bathing suit tops you could get away with wearing to the bar, and with all these trendy details, this top from Gigi C Bikinis fits that bill.
All of these swimsuits are impeccable options for the bride-to-be on her bachelorette weekend, if I do say so myself. They all have the “yes, I’m the bride” vibe that you want and not the “I just picked up these suits at Target on my way here” vibe. Again, this is your last hurrah before you’re a married woman! Go splurge, and more importantly, be extra. A bride’s sole duty is to be extra, so embrace it!

I got a recent complaint from a friend that we don’t post enough articles with specific body types in mind. And I get it. It totally sucks when you can’t find clothes that fit, especially bathing suits, and you’re walking around in constant fear of a nip slip. Usually I try to include suits that are flattering on everybody, or a few options that will fit a variety of body types. But you know what? You guys deserve to have more options. Especially for large chested women, it can be hard find suits that don’t look old lady-ish but also won’t put you in danger of giving a free show.
Also, before you complain, I am not responsible for the models of these bathing suits. They don’t give me that power. That is the brand’s decision. So if some of the models are stick thin with tiny breasts, I am sorry. I don’t know why our society says those women are the only people who can model clothes. It’s weird and gross. And they’re always Photoshopped anyway. Every company should show models with every body type. But don’t worry, all the suits that show skinny girls have been pre-approved by me/friends that have big boobs.
So here’s a whole list of bathing suits that are particularly perfect for women that are chestier than the rest of us. And they’re all cute!
ModCloth The Brooke One-Piece Swimsuit
Have we talked about how much I love ModCloth? Not only do they feature a variety of sizing in their models, they don’t retouch them heavily. They are awesome! Also, ALL swim is 50% off right now! This suit is perfect for chesty women, with enough fabric to offer full coverage and secure your breasts so they don’t flail about when you inevitably fall off your pool floatie. Plus, it’s a super cute color, and the waist cinch will ensure you can drink as much as you want and not have to pose sucking in your bloated stomach in photos. Win, win, win.
Ekouaer High Neck Halter Bikini
Several of my friends have this suit in a variety of colors. Although the model is super thin and small chested, I assure you we’ve gone to many a pool party in these and there hasn’t been An Incident yet. And we are drinkers. Plus it’s super cheap AND comes in so many different prints! My bestie has four different ones of this same suit. Here are two of my friends in it so you can see how flattering it is IRL:
Blooming Jelly Women’s Vintage Lace One Piece
This one piece is so fun and I love the lace detailing. Can I just say, I’m SO happy that we’re at a stage in society where one pieces are fun and chic and not sad grandma wear? I wouldn’t have been caught dead in a one piece 10 years ago, and now they’re all I want to wear. I like how this suit is really unique and delicate while still offering support and coverage so you can relax in style. I have this issue with a lot of one pieces where if I turn at all, my entire breast pops out. Rest assured, this one will leave you totally secure.
Swimsuits For All Mentor Fuchsia High Waist Bikini
LOOK at how cute and flattering this suit is! And I love the color. These types of cuts are usually available in only microscopic sizes that barely cover my nipples. This whole brand has a ton of great suits and they carry sizes 4-24, which is amazing and all companies should do it too. Also, the website is offering up to 50% off all their swim right now, with an additional 40% off! Is that like, free? That sounds like it’s basically free. IDK, guys, I was never good at math.
Sociala Push Up Bikini
Another friend-approved option, with a structured, bra-like top to hold your breasts in place. I love bikinis that have an actual cup so your boobs aren’t flailing about the entire day. Plus, you can’t even tell it has a bra top, unlike some bikinis I used to wear in high school from Victoria’s Secret that looked like actual bras. And this one has removable straps for zero tanlines!
Hopefully you found a few you like in this article and can now swim/drink/look cute AND not give an accidental strip tease. Do you want to see more swimwear/clothing articles based on body type? What one would you like to see next? Let me know in the comments!

Look, I work in retail we were sell some nice-ass swim brands. So, I know better than anyone how expensive swimsuits are these days. Like, just the top alone can cost you $100. Which is UNREAL, and I’ll remind you again, I work in retail. Thus, my personal alotted swim budget is pretty minimal. But, finding on-trend swimsuits that are reasonably priced is easier than ever with all the online fast fashion brands we have access to nowadays. Look, it’s unlikely that your bright green neon swimsuit is going to be trendy come next summer, so why spend your life’s savings on something that’s just a passing trend? Here are this season’s swimsuit trends and affordable options for each.
1. High Cut
A high cut bottom is not only trendy, it’s v flattering. It has an effortless retro sex appeal for the ultimate summer vibe. It’s very vintage Baywatch-cool and allows for some variety with your summer tan lines. A flattering swimsuit that looks sexy, stylish, cool AND allows for a more even flawless tan? Could you ask for anything more???
Missguided Mix and Match Bikini Set, $24.50
Asymmetric Colorblock Swimsuit, $17.99
2. Animal Print
We already know animal print is super trendy in general for spring and summer. So it only makes sense that the trend would translate to swim as well. Whether you go leopard, snake, or any other print, pick one in a neutral color to ensure it looks expensive, not cheap. As Countess Luanne would say, “Money can’t buy you class,” so don’t go wasting yours on a pricey swimsuit. Rather, use your best judgement to pick one that just looks expensive. And, if you don’t trust your own judgement in doing so, I’m here for you, just take one of my suggestions below.
Snake Print Straight Swimsuit, $50
3. Underwire
This is another retro swim trend coming back this season. It’s an awesome trend for both small-chested and busty girls alike. For those who are smaller chested, it creates an illusion of fullness and depth. For those bigger chested, it gives added lift and support. So, regardless of your body type, this is def a trend worth getting behind.
Billabong Sol Searcher Underwire Bikini Top, $49.95 and Sol Searcher Hawaii Bikini Bottoms, $39.95
Out From Under Tulip Underwire One-Piece Swimsuit, $79
4. Belted
Belts are back, and they’re here to elevate your swim game now, too. The belted swimsuit trend gives your one piece more shape by accentuating your waist, and gives your high waisted bottoms an added element of fashion blogger-level style. Like, if your swimsuit doesn’t have a belt this season, do you even know “fashion” at all???
River Island Plunge Bikini Top, $38 and High Waisted Briefs with Belt, $29
Warehouse High Leg Swimsuit With Belt, $45.50
5. Textured
A great way to spice up your swim wardrobe this summer is adding some texture. Whether it’s through ribbed detailing or shirred smocking, an element of texture makes even the most simple bathing suit more feminine and cool. So bring on the texture, baby!
Shirred Ring Plunge One Piece, $52
6. Neon
This season, it’s all about the bright neons, and this trend is the perfect complement to your summer tan. In regards to your swimsuit, it’s important to glam up your neon suit as much as possible so as not to look tacky. You want to look like Erika Jayne in the Bahamas, not like you got your bikini at one of those souvenir shops on the boardwalk.
Aerie Ribbed Side Scoop Bikini Top, $29.95 and High Cut Cheeky Bikini Bottom, $29.95
New Look Color Block Shirred Swimsuit, $40
7. Metallics
Done correctly, metallics are chic and add an element of glam to your beach day style. Of course, key words here are “done correctly.” If you go buy a slinky gold triangle bikini top from Wet Seal, I can’t guarantee it’s going to be the epitome of glam. Opt for a more subtle bronze or rose gold shade to ensure you look effortlessly beach chic.
Topshop Metallic Ribbed Triangle Bikini Top, $38 and Ribbed Bikini Bottoms, $28
Topshop Metallic Cami Swimsuit, $60
8. Knotted & Bows
Knots and bows add a feminine flair to any swimsuit. Additionally, they allow for another way to adjust your swimsuit to make it fit best to your individual body. Or, if you just want to tie your suit tighter to make your boobs look bigger, you do you, sis.
ASOS DESIGN Neoprene Bow Front Bandeau Bikini Top, $23 and Hipster Bikini, $18
Gidget One-Piece Swimsuit, $84
The official start of summer is right around the corner, so stock up on these trendy swimsuits now before all the good sizes are gone! This way, as you’re getting blacked out on random men’s boats, the one Sunday Scary you won’t be having is whether you looked good or not. Sure you got kicked out of the bar and called your ex 42 times, but we’re all about the small wins here, people.
