WTF Is Up With This Bizarre Justin And Hailey Bieber Insta Story Exchange?

Despite the fact that Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber just had a baby together in August and post each other on social media all the time, I swear there’s a new round of marriage troubles and/or divorce rumors about these two every week. At this point, I’m usually quick to dismiss the split chatter as just rumors. But I’ll admit, this recent Instagram Story exchange between Hailey and Justin had me confused. Fans on TikTok and Reddit noticed that the singer and the Rhode founder seemed to be arguing with each other via their Stories… and then Justin’s dad, Jeremy Bieber, appeared to get involved.

Sooo, what in the world is going on here? Let’s break down that super weird Justin and Hailey Bieber Instagram Story exchange.

(In the above video, a TikToker named Sloan gathers the receipts and walks fans through the exchange. Thank you for your service, king.) Sooo, it all started when Justin posted a close-up selfie on his Insta Story and added the Jacquees song “B.E.D.” The singer specifically chose the part of the song that goes: “I know you wanna love / But I just wanna fuck / And girl, you know the deal / I gotta keep it real.” While these aren’t the most ~wifey~ lyrics I’ve ever heard, I don’t think fans would’ve cared if this is all that happened. However, Hailey posted her own interesting Story 20 minutes later, per Sloan. The Rhode CEO shared the SZA and Kendrick Lamar song, “30 For 30,” and specifically the lyrics, “But if it’s fuck me, then fuck you.” Because of the 20-minute gap situation and the similar lyrical content, it kinda seemed like a response to her husband’s last post.

But that’s not all. After that Story, Hailey posted a photo of her celeb besties, Lori Harvey and Justine Skye, using Rhode lip products. Based on that pic and Lori’s own Insta Stories, the friends were evidently on a girls trip in the Caribbean over the holidays. While there’s definitely nothing weird or wrong about a girls trip, it is a little surprising that Hailey would be on one during the holidays without Justin.

Um, and then things got even more eyebrow-raising when Justin reposted a video with the caption, “coparenting is failing….like tf.” Hailey then posted the SZA song, “What Do I Do,” which you probably know is about finding out your partner cheated on you. Hmmmm.

Did Justin Bieber’s Dad, Jeremy Bieber, Comment On Hailey Bieber Drama?

In an even stranger turn of events, Justin’s dad, Jeremy, seemingly weighed in on the drama in a December 28 tweet, which has since been deleted. “I have never known a parent that said: ‘I wish I didn’t have a child,'” he wrote. Yes, this could’ve been a totally a random thought, but the timing is odd.

It doesn’t seem like Hailey would say anything like that, considering she just posted a throwback pregnancy photo on her Story and wrote “thank you 2024” with an angel emoji.

Justin Bieber And Hailey Bieber Respond To Split Rumors After Instagram Story Exchange

Welp, as usual, they’re totally fine, the internet is dumb, and this was just a rumor! On New Year’s, Justin posted a pic of Hailey rocking a bikini and a “Happy New Year” hat and wrote, “Um. Goin anywhere with u bb.” This came shortly after Hailey posted a TikTok by eyegotthyme where he says, “You’re not well and it’s OK.” She pointedly captioned that Insta Story, “Me to all of you on the Internet.” I mean, point taken.
