What’s something that’s piping hot, freezing cold, and dusty all at the same time? If you guessed the desert during Coachella (and Stagecoach, for that matter), you guessed right! But despite the logistical challenges that come with looking cool while getting in touch with nature on the grounds, festival season is a major fashion moment. Coachella has been setting trends since the ’90s, from flower crowns (RIP) to metallic rodeo core (thanks, Beyoncé), and 2025 will be no different.
My current prediction is that casual skin (and healthy hair) will be the most popular accessory (like how everyone was low-key naked at the VF Oscars After Party, but make it outdoorsy). Coachellas of the past have been about elaborate glam, but I think the serious style gurus may be keeping it skimpy, simple, and down to earth (Exhibit A: the entire Boys Lie April 2025 Drop). And yes, tight tight is officially out, babes!
