Account Executive

DESCRIPTION

Betches Media is looking for a Sales Account Executive to handle strategic brand partnership opportunities across all owned digital, social & audio channels. We are seeking a highly strategic individual who can drive sales revenue and grow renewal business.  This candidate must possess strong quantitative & analytical skills and the ability to develop and connect with relevant social first creative partnership concepts in the digital media space. The AE must have excellent client relationship skills and a desire to learn in a fast-paced industry.  This is a true digital media sales role with growth opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prospect, build and scale new and renewal revenue for key strategic accounts focusing on driving multi-platform programs across social, audio & newsletters
  • The ability to track and manage to hit sales targets and stretch goals
  • Stay ahead of the curve on marketplace & platform trends relating to their clients’ industries to maximize share and scale
  • Define the overall approach for specific accounts and/or industries, develop work plans, and create compelling sales propositions utilizing internal and external data
  • Responsible for educating clients on Betches Media custom content solutions & best practices
  • Deliver best in class customer service to brand partners  

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in digital sales with ability to translate client KPIs into actionable campaign strategies and close revenue
  • Familiarity and strong enthusiasm for entire Betches Media brand and sub brands, products and the utility we offer to our audience
  • Willingness to thrive in a startup environment, highly motivated and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Extensive contacts in digital & social media buying and planning (client and agency side), brands direct and PR companies who handle media budgets
  • Experience with key industry categories like CPG (food, beverage and beauty), retail, travel, finance, pharma and tech including DR and DTC clients as well
  • A sales leader who has the ability to independently build a large pipeline of outbound leads, pursue and close
  • Experience closing/managing large, customized content deals ($500K+) 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment to oversee multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Fluency in the language of digital media: impressions, CTR, CPMs, eCPMs, etc.
  • Fluency in the language of online measurement: uniques, pageviews, visits, referrers, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively navigate through ambiguity and complexities related to client/agency structure
  • Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills (strong grasp of Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint/Keynote required)

Chief Revenue Officer

DESCRIPTION

The Chief Revenue Officer should be a seasoned media executive, have a  proven track record of  success, understand the online media and entertainment landscape and have a natural interest in the Betches Media content and brand voice. This person should possess 10+ years of experience in building revenue and generating strategic partnerships and 5+ years in executive level management. 

Betches Media is currently in a high growth phase. This person will be a key player in the growth of the company and be directly responsible for managing and overseeing the success of all revenue streams (Sales & Partnerships, E-Commerce, Subscriptions, Products etc). They should have a strategic approach towards optimizing sales, and be creative in seeking new business opportunities. This person will be responsible for bringing in new client partnerships that fit organically within our content, while seeking incremental revenue streams that touch all areas of the business.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and highly strategic negotiator and business planner with a strong ability to pitch and secure new business. They need to have proven experience in fostering strong partnerships that lead to long and successful revenue & brand partnerships. They should have strong quantitative & analytical skills, presentation skills and client relationships. They will be responsible for managing and overseeing the success, strategic plans and growth for the entire Sales and Partnerships department.

We are looking for a creative & out of the box ideator who can bring new revenue opportunities to Betches Media.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and lead the execution of our overall sales strategies with executive team

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of sales experience with minimum 5+ years in management, large scale team leadership experience
  • Online media or entertainment experience preferred
  • Natural ability to recruit and retain top sales staff as well as develop seasoned and incoming team members to sustain industry leading team
  • Strong track record of excellence in sales and working with complex deals and clients
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – work and communicate effectively with internal and external decision makers from different industry backgrounds 
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through new product development, marketing, branding, and partnerships
  • Experience speaking at external events, conferences and summits – being a voice to the brand 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Director, Digital Content & Strategy

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Director, Digital Content & Strategy to assist the VP of Digital Content & Strategy by overseeing the development and execution of all internal organic and affiliate content across all digital channels and platforms. 

This role will report to the VP of Digital Content & Strategy and will work alongside various members of the company (CEO, CCO, Sn Director Marketing, Sales VP and more). 

Role & Requirements

  • Assist team through best in class digital & social strategy across all Betches Media platforms & channels 
  • Develop affiliate strategy across all social platforms and oversee execution by working with all account managers and marketing team
  • Manage a team of account managers 
  • Create a cohesive community between our podcast and Instagram audience
  • Leverage celebrity guests and talent across social channels 
  • Staying ahead of, participating in, and responding to emerging trends and platforms 
  • Continuously staying on top of the competitive landscape 
  • Manage website and network of freelancers inclusive of editing, copy editing, vetting pitches, assigning stories, publishing & homepage management
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with content creators and freelancers 
  • Strategically plan goals and track performance for all current and future content
  • Motivate, mentor and develop teams and lead the professional development of direct reports
  • Oversee internal creative teams and other partners in the creation of multi-platform content that generates buzz and increases engagement for Betches Media
  • Collaborate with Marketing team on the promoting internal digital content to grow audience and revenue
  • Assist with content marketing for events and podcasts

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years digital content and multi-platform experience
  • 2+ years of affiliate social experience 
  • Familiarity with the e-comm space & driving revenue 
  • Deep understanding of how users interact with digital content and how to create great user experiences from a content perspective
  • Proven experience that shows a creative vision in developing interactive content and campaigns for a media and/or entertainment brand
  • Ability to manage, guide & mentor direct reports
  • Ability to work independently & multi-task changing priorities

Sales Planner

Full-Time, Permanent, Salary & benefits // Entry-Level // NYC Office // Hybrid

DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a highly detail oriented and organized Sales Planner to join our Sales & Brand Partnerships team. The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communication, is highly organized and can manage multi level projects from various team members. 

The Sales Planner is primarily responsible for assisting the Account Executives in growing business by developing strategic media plans to be submitted alongside our social, newsletter & podcast proposals and assisting in client negotiations. The ideal candidate is a forward thinker who understands media math & is able to handle multiple projects at a time.

This role will report to the Vice President of Sales & Brand Partnerships, will assist all S&P team members, and will work alongside various members of the company.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Build and revise media plans, check avails, reserve fixed placements and update associated fixed placement calendars, negotiate Terms & Conditions. Enter final plans into online proposal systems.
  • Manage the proposal process workflow from RFP to IO alongside Account Executives and liaise with key approval stakeholders in Sales, Content, Integrated Marketing, & Account Management
  • Coordinate handoff of mixed media campaigns to Account Management to ensure pre and post sales continuity
  • Respond to servicing and information requests from team members and clients: work with various internal teams to gather information for customers and fulfill requests
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Support AE(s) in prospecting to expand Betches Media’s advertiser base

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Experience working/interning within  relevant media planning or buying experience 
  • Must be based in or near New York City and able to work out of our Manhattan office as a full-time employee
  • A positive demeanor and approach when handling day-to-day tasks
  • An ability to effectively problem-solve and multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail and robust organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working across Microsoft suite, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
