Bachelor Nation’s mental health is really hanging on by a thread after witnessing Jenn Tran, the purest, sweetest soul ever, get her heart broken by the devil himself, Devin Strader. (Notice his name is just one letter off from Devil.) So excuse us if we’re getting excited about the possibility of Jenn ending up with third place runner-up Jonathon Johnson — the green flag man we were all rooting for. Ever since the season finale, which was basically just Jenn sobbing and Devin failing to provide excuses for his abominable behavior, Jenn and Jonathan have been hanging out a lot. These two have posted a bunch of TikToks together lately, and Jonathan also just showed up to cheer on Jenn at the Dancing With the Stars season premiere. Sooo, are Jenn Tran and Jonathan Johnson officially dating?? Here’s what I discovered during my deep dive.
Jenn and Jonathan are not currently dating, but they’re definitely having a fabulous time teasing us on social media. Sigh. These two are basically full-time TikTokers now, reviewing Taco Bell items and acting out Kardashians scenes together. Not to mention, the Bachelorette stars hit up a People event together on September 13, and while they were there, Jenn filmed a video of them dancing and hugging to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Juno” — ya know, the song where mini Blondie sings about letting a guy get her pregnant. And yet, in interviews, Jenn and Jonathan swear they’re just friends for now. I’m tired.

Of course, Jonathan did his obligatory post-Bachelorette Nick Viall podcast appearance and discussed the possibility of dating Jenn. “I think people have been in love with the idea of me before and then not actually myself, so to get eliminated third but everybody else can see it except for the person that you wanted to… It’s hard to go back on that,” Jonathan said. When Nick asked if they’ve had a conversation about dating outside of the show, Jonathan said they have not. However, he also claimed that he would say yes if Jenn asked him out. Hmmm.
Jenn clarified exactly where she stands with Jonathan during an NBC interview. “Jonathan’s been such a light in all of this,” she shared. “I didn’t come out of this journey with a fiance, but I at least got a really good friend out of it, a really good human out of it, makes me really excited.” That being said, she’s not ready to jump into another relationship just yet.
The reality star explained, “I’m just not at a place to explore a relationship with anyone, not even just Jonathan… I’m just taking time to myself and doing things for myself and I just don’t think I have the space in my head or my heart to add a guy into the picture at the moment.”
I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see where this ~friendship~ goes.
